Why Can't I Place an Indonesian Stock Order on Pluang?

On Pluang, an Indonesian stock order usually can't be placed because of low RDN buying power, a lot or price outside exchange rules, unfinished Indonesian Asset Verification, or a suspended stock. Indonesian stock trading on Pluang is facilitated by PT Pluang Maju Sekuritas, a Securities Company licensed and supervised by OJK (KEP-196/PM/1992), together with PT Sarana Santosa Sejati, a Level II Securities Brokerage Marketing Partner licensed and supervised by OJK (4/PM.02/STTD/MPPPE/2024). Orders placed outside trading hours are not rejected: they wait in a queue and go to the exchange when the next session opens.

Common causes and how to fix them

What happensLikely causeWhat to do
Buying power is not enoughYour RDN balance, minus money already set aside for open buy orders, is less than the order amount plus feesTop up your RDN, buy fewer lots, or cancel open buy orders you no longer need to release the money set aside for them
The lot quantity is not acceptedIndonesian stocks trade in whole lots: the minimum is 1 lot, and 1 lot is 100 sharesEnter a whole number of lots
The price is not acceptedThe price must follow the exchange's price step for that price range and stay within the day's auto-rejection limits (ARA and ARB)Change the price to a valid step inside the day's limits; see the table below
You are asked to verify firstYour Indonesian Asset Verification is not approved yet, so you don't have an active RDNComplete the verification, or wait for it to be approved
A sell order is not acceptedYou can only sell shares you hold, and lots already in an open sell order are not available; short selling is not offeredCheck the available lots shown on the sell page
A Market order can't be confirmedThe app couldn't calculate an estimate for the orderTry again shortly, or place a Limit order
No order can be placed on the stockThe exchange has suspended trading in that stockWait until the exchange lifts the suspension

These are exchange-wide rules set by the Indonesia Stock Exchange, not Pluang settings, and the exchange can change them.

Orders outside trading hours

If you place an order at night, before the market opens, at the weekend or on a public holiday, it is not rejected. It waits in a queue, may show as pending, and goes to the exchange when the next trading session opens. For a buy order, the order amount plus fees is set aside from your RDN until then, so that money can't be used for other orders or withdrawn.

On Pluang Web Trading you can place Market orders and Limit orders valid until the end of the day. Session validity, Good Till Cancelled and Stop Loss / Take Profit are available in the app only.

Related questions:

Q: I placed an order at night. Why hasn't it executed?
Orders placed outside trading hours wait in a queue and are sent to the exchange when the next session opens. Nothing executes outside a trading session, and the order's place in the exchange queue starts when it reaches the exchange.

Q: Why did my buying power drop after I placed a buy order?
The order amount plus fees is set aside from your RDN as soon as you place a buy order. It is released if the order is cancelled or expires, and used if the order matches.

Q: Can I buy on margin or sell shares I don't own?
No. Every Indonesian stock purchase on Pluang is paid in full from your RDN, and you can only sell shares you already hold.

Q: Why can't I place an e-IPO order the same way?
e-IPO orders follow their own rules, and only money you can withdraw from your RDN can be used for them. See the separate e-IPO articles for those cases.
