How to use Leverage

Find leveraged stocks by opening “US Stocks” tab on the Explore page and enabling the “Leverage” filter.

Highlight card for Pluang investment features

Tap “Buy” on the asset detail page, then choose your preferred leverage on the input amount page.

Input the number of shares you want to buy, starting from 0.1 share.

Complete the transaction to get 2x or 4x exposure on leveraged stocks!

What is Leverage?

Leverage is a feature that allows you to buy up to 4x more stocks with the balance you have. By using this feature, you have the potential to gain more profits with less capital. Currently, Pluang offers leverage with a ratio of 2x and 4x Day Trade. This means that when you top up $100.00 to your leverage account using 2x leverage, your buying power can increase up to $200.00. If you use 4x Day Trade, your buying power can increase up to $400.00. However, Leverage Day Trade requires you to close positions before the market closes.

How to use Leverage?

To use leverage in the Pluang app, you can follow these steps:

Find stocks with leverage — Go to the Explore page and select the 'US Stocks' tab. You can activate the leverage filter to see stocks that can be purchased using leverage.
Buy with leverage — Apply either 2x leverage or 4x leverage Day Trade by selecting the desired leverage option on the asset page.
Transact with your total balance — When opening a position for US Stocks, buying power is the total of your entire balance in the Pluang app. You can purchase stocks up to 4x your buying power.

What is a Margin Call?

A margin call is a situation where your equity falls to 70% of the used margin or below. This occurs when the price of the asset you purchased has declined to a level where your equity is at 70% or below. Once you receive a margin call, you cannot open new positions, but you can still sell your existing positions.

What is the daily interest fee rate?

Daily interest fee rate is charged daily to your leverage account after the market closes if you hold leverage positions in US Stocks after the market closing hours. This fee is applied every day, including weekdays and weekends.
