Why Does My Crypto Futures Close Order Say "Amount Must Be Higher Than the Minimum Order Amount"?

This error means the quantity you've typed, stepped, or slid to close is below the minimum order quantity CFX allows for that specific contract — the field shows this inline error with a red border and blocks submission until you enter a valid amount, whether you're closing the position fully or partially.

Symptom / ConditionPossible CauseSolution
Error appears as soon as you type a small amountYour typed quantity is below the contract's minimum order quantityIncrease the amount until the error clears — the minimum varies by contract and is enforced live in the Close Position sheet or panel
Error appears after using the −/+ stepperThe stepper's step size can still land below the minimum on the first tap for very small positionsContinue tapping + until the amount clears the minimum threshold
Error appears after dragging the % slider to a low percentageA low percentage of a small position can round down below the minimumIncrease the % slider, or switch to typing an exact amount at or above the minimum
Amount looked fine, error appeared after roundingYour typed amount rounded down to a contract multiple that's now below the minimumType a slightly higher amount so it still clears the minimum after rounding down

If the issue persists:

Contact Pluang Care via live chat in the app or email tanya@pluang.com with the contract name and the quantity you tried to enter so the team can confirm the exact minimum for that contract.

Related questions:

Q: Is the minimum order quantity the same for every Crypto Futures contract?
No — it's configured per contract by CFX, so a quantity that works on one contract may be below the minimum on another; always check the amount shown in the app for the specific contract you're closing.

Q: Does this error apply to both full and partial closes?
Yes — the minimum order quantity check applies the same way whether you're closing your entire position or only part of it.

Q: Does this error apply to Market and Limit closes equally?
Yes — the minimum quantity validation is the same regardless of which order type you choose to close with.

Q: Why did an amount that worked before suddenly trigger this error?
Your live position size or the contract's minimum configuration may have changed since your last close, or your amount is now rounding down to a smaller valid quantity than before — re-enter or adjust the amount and check the current minimum shown in the sheet.
