Why Did My Pending Limit Close Quantity Change Without Any Notification?

This is expected behavior, not an error — if a new Limit Close you submit would push your total pending closes above your position's remaining uncommitted quantity, Pluang automatically reduces that new order's quantity down to exactly what's left, and this adjustment happens silently by design, with no toast, screen, or inline message at the time it occurs.

Symptom / ConditionPossible CauseSolution
Order in Transaction History shows a smaller quantity than what you submittedYou already had a pending Limit Close on the same position, and your new order was auto-adjusted down to the remaining uncommitted quantityThis is intended — check your order history to confirm the adjusted quantity, no action needed
No pop-up or toast appeared when placing the orderThe auto-adjustment is silent by design — there's no user-facing notification at the moment it happensReview the order details in Transaction History or Open Orders after placing it to see the actual quantity that was accepted
Adjusted quantity doesn't match your mathThe adjustment is based on your remaining uncommitted position quantity at the moment of submission, which is your position size minus any other pending Limit Close orders already placedCheck your other pending Limit Close orders on the same contract to see how much was already committed

If the issue persists:

Contact Pluang Care via live chat in the app or email tanya@pluang.com with your order ID and the quantity you originally submitted so the team can walk through the adjustment with you.

Related questions:

Q: Is a silently adjusted Limit Close quantity a bug?
No — this is intended behavior for pending Limit Close orders, designed to prevent your total pending closes from ever exceeding your open position size.

Q: Where can I see the actual quantity my Limit Close was adjusted to?
Check the order's details in Transaction History or Open Orders — the adjusted quantity is reflected there, since it isn't shown in a pop-up at the time of submission.

Q: Does this silent adjustment apply to Market Close orders too?
No — this rule only applies to pending Limit Close orders; a Market Close executes your specified quantity immediately and isn't subject to this adjustment.

Q: Does this auto-adjustment ever affect my Take Profit or Stop Loss orders?
No — the silent auto-adjustment rule is scoped to Limit Close orders only and never resizes or touches your TP/SL orders.
