Why Can’t the AI Agent Change the Price or Quantity of My Open Order?

Open orders cannot be modified through Agentic Trading at all — price, quantity and validity are fixed once the order is placed. The only route is to cancel the order and place a new one. Ask the agent to cancel it, then place a fresh order on the terms you want.

Related questions:

Q: Can I change just the validity and leave the price alone?
No. No field of an open order can be modified — price, quantity and validity are all fixed once placed.

Q: Does cancelling and re-placing cost me anything?
You pay the normal trading fee on whichever order actually executes.

Q: Will the replacement order keep my original place in the queue?
No. A replacement is a new order and is treated as one.

Q: Why does the replacement need a new quote?
Because the price may have moved. Every order is placed against a fresh quote you confirm, never against an earlier one.
