Troubleshooting guide

Why Did the AI Agent Ask Whether I Meant Rupiah or Dollars?

Because your Pluang account holds both rupiah and US dollars, so a bare number like "buy 500" is ambiguous. US Stocks orders are sized in USD and Crypto orders in IDR — reading rupiah as dollars would place an order roughly 16,000 times too large, so the agent must ask rather than guess.

Symptom / ConditionPossible CauseSolution
You said "buy 500" or "spend 2 juta" without naming a currencyThe account holds both IDR and USD, so the number alone is ambiguousState the currency explicitly — "500 dollars" or "2 juta rupiah".
You asked for a US Stocks order in rupiahUS Stocks cash amounts are denominated in USDGive the USD amount, or ask the agent to size the order by number of shares instead.
You asked for a Crypto order in dollarsCrypto cash amounts are denominated in IDRGive the rupiah amount, or size the order by coin quantity instead.
The agent asked again even though you thought you were clearThe agent is not allowed to infer currency from the asset, because a wrong reading is a ~16,000x errorConfirm explicitly. This is a deliberate safeguard, not a malfunction.

Related questions:

Q: Can’t the agent work out the currency from the asset?
It is specifically not allowed to. The account holds both currencies, and an incorrect assumption would be an extremely costly error.

Q: What happens if I confirm the wrong currency?
The order is placed as confirmed. Review the quoted figures before approving — the agent shows them for exactly this reason.

Q: Is the agent asking this a bug?
No, it is a safeguard. Ambiguous amounts are always confirmed with you rather than guessed at.

Q: Can I avoid the question?
Yes — name the currency in your first message, or size the order by shares or coin quantity instead of a cash amount.
