Can Indonesians Living Abroad Use Pluang?

Pluang's listed account requirements for Indonesian citizens are a valid e-KTP, an age of 18 or over and an active mobile number from an Indonesian provider, and living in Indonesia is not among them. What matters most from abroad is keeping that Indonesian number active, because every login is confirmed with a one-time password (OTP) sent to it by SMS or WhatsApp. Verification is done in the app, and product access depends on the verification you complete, not on where you live.

Related questions:

Q: Can I receive Pluang OTPs while I'm abroad?
Pluang sends the OTP to your registered number by SMS or WhatsApp, so the number needs to be able to receive SMS or WhatsApp messages wherever you are. On a dual-SIM phone, keep the registered SIM in the SIM1 slot so the OTP arrives reliably.

Q: What if my Indonesian number stops working while I'm abroad?
You can change your registered number in the app while you are logged in. If you are already logged out, change it through the login screen or contact Pluang Care through in-app live chat or tanya@pluang.com.

Q: Do I need a bank account to use Pluang from abroad?
Not for every product. A bank account in your own name is required for Indonesian Asset Verification, which opens Mutual Funds and Indonesian Stocks, and Indonesian stocks also need a BCA or Bank Jago account to open your RDN.

Q: Can foreign nationals living in Indonesia use Pluang?
Yes. Foreign nationals (WNA) register with a valid passport, and US citizens also submit a FATCA form. Indonesian Stocks are not currently available to WNA.
