Is Pluang registered with and supervised by OJK? The licences behind every Pluang product
Pluang's products are each run by a licensed Indonesian company: Crypto, Crypto Futures, US Stocks and ETFs, US Stock Options, Indonesian Stocks and Mutual Funds are supervised by OJK, while Gold and Commodities are supervised by Bappebti. Pluang is the name of the app and the brand, so there is no single OJK licence that covers Pluang as a whole. Instead, each product sits with a company that holds the licence for that type of product: PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang for crypto, PT PG Berjangka for US stocks, ETFs, options and Commodities, PT Pluang Maju Sekuritas with PT Sarana Santosa Sejati for Indonesian stocks, PT Sarana Santosa Sejati for mutual funds, and PT Pluang Emas Sejahtera for gold. Each company reports to its own regulator. The companies behind Pluang's products also hold electronic system operator (PSE) registrations with Komdigi, which are separate from a financial licence. PT PG Berjangka holds two separate licences: an OJK licence for US stocks, ETFs and options, and a Bappebti futures broker licence for Commodities, which is currently open to a limited group of users.
A licence means the company is supervised; it does not guarantee investment returns. The value of any investment can go up or down, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

Q: Since when has OJK supervised crypto on Pluang?
Since 10 January 2025, when supervision of crypto assets in Indonesia moved from Bappebti to OJK. Crypto and Crypto Futures on Pluang are facilitated by PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang under one Digital Financial Asset Trader licence, and in 2025 it became one of the first traders of this kind accredited by OJK. Trades go through the Central Finansial X (CFX) exchange and are cleared by Kliring Komoditi Indonesia (KKI).
Q: Why are Gold and Commodities supervised by Bappebti rather than OJK?
Indonesian rules license each type of product separately. Bappebti, Indonesia's Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency under the Ministry of Trade, supervises digital physical gold trading and commodity futures. That is why PT Pluang Emas Sejahtera (Gold) and PT PG Berjangka's futures broker licence (Commodities) report to Bappebti. OJK supervises the capital market, crypto assets and financial derivatives in the capital market. Gold transactions are recorded at ICDX and cleared by Indonesia Clearing House (ICH).
Q: Does OJK or Bappebti supervision mean I cannot lose money?
No. Supervision covers how a licensed company operates, such as how it holds customer assets and treats customers. It does not guarantee investment returns: prices can fall, and you can lose money on any investment, including through leverage on the products that offer it. Q: Are Pluang's US Stocks a CFD (Contract for Difference)?
No. Each order is forwarded to the overseas exchange through PALN (Penyaluran Amanat Luar Negeri, the forwarding of overseas orders) rather than settled internally as a CFD. Legally, your position is a financial derivative contract held through PT PG Berjangka, not a direct shareholding. Price movements and dividends on the underlying US stock pass through to you, but shareholder voting rights do not.
