What Do I Need to Log In to the Pluang App?

To log in to Pluang, you need a mobile phone number that is registered and verified on your Pluang account, and that number must be active and able to receive OTP codes via SMS or WhatsApp. To register a new Pluang account, you only need an active Indonesian provider mobile number.

Logging in to an existing account

When you open the Pluang app and log in, you need:

  • A mobile number already registered and verified on your Pluang account.
  • The number must be active and reachable — it needs to receive the OTP (One-Time Password) Pluang sends via SMS or WhatsApp.

If your registered number is a dual-SIM phone, make sure the SIM is inserted in the SIM1 slot to receive SMS reliably.

How OTP login works

Pluang uses OTP as its login security method. Each time you log in, a one-time code is sent via SMS or WhatsApp to your registered number. You enter that code to complete the login. OTP codes expire quickly — enter yours promptly after receiving it.

Registering a new account

To create a new Pluang account, you need:

  • An active mobile number from an Indonesian provider (e.g., Telkomsel, Indosat, XL, Smartfren).
  • The number must be able to receive OTP via SMS or WhatsApp.

No other requirements apply at the registration step itself — full identity verification (KYC) is completed after registration.

Things to check if login is failing

  • Make sure your registered phone number is active.
  • Ensure the number can receive SMS and is connected to WhatsApp.
  • If using dual SIM, place the registered SIM in the SIM1 slot.
  • Check that the Pluang app is updated to the latest version.

Related questions:

Q: Can I log in to Pluang with an email address?
No. Pluang uses your registered mobile phone number and OTP for login — not an email and password combination.

Q: What if I changed my phone number and can no longer receive OTP?
Contact Pluang Care to update your registered number. You will need to complete an identity verification process before the number can be changed.

Q: Why does Pluang use OTP instead of a password?
OTP-based login does not rely on a static password — each code is single-use and expires quickly. It ensures only someone with access to your registered phone can log in.

Q: I registered with a foreign SIM — can I still log in?
The Pluang registration system requires an active Indonesian provider number. If your number is no longer active or has changed, contact Pluang Care for assistance.
