Can foreigners (WNA) complete Indonesian Asset Verification on Pluang?

Foreign nationals (WNA) can complete Indonesian Asset Verification on Pluang, but it only unlocks Mutual Funds for them — Indonesian Stocks access through this Tier 2 KYC step is currently available to Indonesian citizens (WNI) only. A WNA who finishes this verification gains the ability to buy and sell Pluang's Indonesian mutual fund products, using an active bank account held in their own name to receive fund proceeds; a BCA or Bank Jago account is not required for this, since no RDN is involved. Because WNA cannot trade Indonesian Stocks under current Pluang policy, no RDN (Rekening Dana Nasabah) is created for a WNA who completes this verification. WNI users, by contrast, unlock both Mutual Funds and Indonesian Stocks from the same verification step, with their RDN opened automatically once approved.

What Indonesian Asset Verification unlocks, by citizenship:

Asset ClassAvailable to WNAAvailable to WNI
Mutual FundsYesYes
Indonesian StocksNo — not currently availableYes — RDN opened automatically on approval
  • WNA registers using a valid passport from their country of origin at Basic Verification (Tier 1); US citizens must also submit a FATCA form
  • Documents required for WNA at Indonesian Asset Verification: personal data matching their passport, a completed Investor Profile, and an active bank account in their own name for Mutual Fund proceeds
  • Processing time: 1–2 business days after documents are submitted — the same timeline that applies to WNI applicants
  • No RDN is created for WNA, since RDN accounts exist specifically to support Indonesian Stocks trading, which is not currently open to WNA

Related questions:

Q: Why can't WNA trade Indonesian Stocks even after completing verification?
Indonesian Stocks access under current Pluang policy is limited to Indonesian citizens (WNI) — this is a platform policy tied to how RDN accounts and Indonesian Stocks trading are structured, not a shortcoming of the verification step itself. A WNA who completes Indonesian Asset Verification can still trade Mutual Funds without any restriction. If Pluang opens Indonesian Stocks to WNA in the future, this article will be updated to reflect that change.

Q: Does a WNA need a BCA or Bank Jago account for this verification?
No. That requirement only applies to WNI users applying for Indonesian Stocks access, since a BCA or Bank Jago account is specifically used to open the RDN required for stock trading. A WNA only needs an active bank account in their own name to receive Mutual Fund proceeds — any bank is accepted, and no RDN is ever created for a WNA account.

Q: What documents does a WNA submit before reaching this verification step?
A WNA registers with a valid passport from their country of origin during Basic Verification (Tier 1); US citizens must additionally submit a FATCA form at that stage. Basic Verification must be fully complete before a WNA can start Indonesian Asset Verification. No e-KTP is required from a WNA, since e-KTP is an Indonesian citizen-only identity document.

Q: How long does Indonesian Asset Verification take for a WNA applicant?
Processing takes 1–2 business days after all required documents are submitted, the same timeline that applies to WNI applicants. You'll receive an in-app notification once the review is complete, and if approved, Mutual Fund access is unlocked immediately with no additional step or fee required.
