Why Can't I Cancel an Event Reminder?
Cancelling a reminder isn't available on Event Calendar yet, so once you tap Remind Me on an event, the button changes to Reminder Set and stays that way. The reminder is sent only once, as a push notification and an in-app inbox notification, and if the event is cancelled, the reminder is removed automatically. Setting a reminder never places an order or uses your money, so a reminder you no longer need is safe to simply ignore.
| Symptom / Condition | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| The button shows Reminder Set and can't be tapped | You've already set a reminder for this event, and cancelling isn't available yet | Nothing is wrong. The reminder stays set and arrives once. No date has been announced for a cancel option. |
| You set a reminder by mistake | Reminders can only be added at the moment, not removed | Simply ignore the notification when it arrives. A reminder never places an order, creates a transaction or commits any of your money. |
| Tapping Remind Me again doesn't remove the reminder | Each event allows one reminder per user, so tapping again does nothing | No action needed. You won't receive duplicate reminders for the same event. |
| The event was cancelled after you set a reminder | When an event is cancelled, its reminder is cancelled automatically | Nothing to do. You won't receive a notification for a cancelled event. |
| The event's date or time changed after you set a reminder | The reminder follows the event's updated schedule | No action needed. The reminder moves with the event: 30 minutes before its scheduled time, or 09:00 WIB one day before the date you need to act by for a corporate action. For an IPO, it arrives ahead of the key date of the IPO's ordering period. |
| You don't want reminder notifications at all | Reminders follow your notification settings | You can change your notification settings, but this also affects other Pluang notifications, not just Event Calendar reminders. If push notifications are off, a reminder you've set still arrives in your in-app inbox. |

Related questions:
Q: Where do I set a reminder on Event Calendar?
Open Explore, choose Discover, then the Calendar tab. Tap an event to open its details, then tap Remind Me. The button changes to Reminder Set once the reminder is saved. If the event has already passed or is too close to its reminder time, the Remind Me button isn't shown.
Q: Does a reminder place an order or reserve money for me?
No. Remind Me only sends you a notification. Event Calendar is informational: it never places orders, creates transactions or moves money in your account. Any trade happens only when you open the stock and place an order yourself.
Q: Is an IPO reminder from the e-IPO page a separate reminder?
No. A reminder set from the e-IPO page and one set from Event Calendar are the same reminder, one per IPO. Setting it in one place shows Reminder Set in the other, and it arrives ahead of the key date of the IPO's ordering period.
Q: Will I be able to cancel reminders later?
Cancelling a reminder isn't available yet, and no date has been announced. Until then, a reminder you no longer need is safe to ignore, and it will only arrive once.
