Why Aren't the Values in My USD Margin (Commodities) Wallet Updating?

The values in your USD Margin (Commodities) wallet stop changing when the market is closed or in a daily break: prices don't update, so your Unrealized P&L, Equity and margin level stay still. A market holiday has the same effect. If the market is open, close and reopen the app to refresh the screen. With no open positions, nothing in the wallet moves with the price.

Values stopped changing on a weekend or early on Monday morningThe market is closed. Commodities trades Monday 06.00 to Saturday 05.00 WIB, or Monday 05.00 to Saturday 04.00 WIB during US Daylight Saving Time. You have no open positions, and your balance doesn't changeWithout an open position there's no Unrealized P&L, so nothing in the wallet moves with the priceNothing is wrong. Without open positions, your balance changes only when you add funds or move them out. Swap is charged or credited only on positions still open at the daily rollover.
Your margin level moved sharply as soon as the market reopenedThe first price after the market reopens can differ from the last price before it closed, so your Unrealized P&L, Equity and margin level can move sharply in one stepCheck your margin level when the market reopens. Keep it well above 80%, so a price gap is less likely to take it to a margin call or liquidation.

Related questions:

Q: Why do my wallet values stop changing early in the morning?
Because of the daily trading break. Gold and silver pause daily 05.00–06.00 WIB, and Brent crude pauses 05.00–08.00 WIB, Tuesday to Friday. During US Daylight Saving Time, every time is one hour earlier. Prices don't update during the break, so your Unrealized P&L, Equity and margin level stay still until trading resumes.

Q: Is the Commodities market open at the weekend?
No. The market closes on Saturday at 05.00 WIB and reopens on Monday at 06.00 WIB; during US Daylight Saving Time, both times are one hour earlier. Your open positions stay open over the weekend, but prices don't update until the market reopens.

Q: Can my margin level change suddenly when the market reopens?
Yes. The first price after the market reopens can differ from the last price before it closed, so your Unrealized P&L, Equity and margin level can move sharply in one step. In a fast market, your margin level can fall to 50% before you can act on an alert, so positions can be liquidated without an earlier warning. Keep your margin level well above 80%.

Q: Why doesn't my balance change when I have no open positions?
Because only open positions move with the price. Without one, there's no Unrealized P&L, so your balance changes only when you add funds or move them out. Swap is charged or credited only on positions still open at the daily rollover.

Q: How do I know if my margin level is falling?
Keep an eye on your margin level in the app. Pluang also sends an email and a push notification at the 80% margin call, again at the 70% second warning, and when positions are liquidated. At 50%, Pluang closes your worst-performing position in full, then checks your margin level again. If it's still at 50% or below, it closes the next one.
