Related questions

Q: Do the fees change with the number of lots?
Yes, up to a cap. The JFX & KBI fee is US$0.10 per lot, capped at US$1 per order, and it's the same for gold, silver and Brent crude. For 10 lots of gold, the JFX & KBI fee is US$1.00 (the cap), plus US$0.11 VAT, about US$1.11 on opening and again on closing. Larger orders pay the same US$1.00 cap. Pluang currently charges no transaction fee on Commodities (0%).

Q: Why does my position show a small loss right after I open it?
Because trading costs start straight away. The spread is already in the price, and the small JFX & KBI fee, plus VAT, is deducted when the position opens. The price has to move in your favour by more than these costs, including the closing fee, before the position breaks even.

Q: Do Pluang Plus members get a discount on Commodities fees?
The transaction fee and the JFX & KBI fee are the same for every user, Pluang Plus members included. The order summary shows the transaction fee and the taxes and third-party fees before you confirm each order.

Q: How is swap charged?
At each daily rollover (05.00 WIB, or 04.00 WIB during US Daylight Saving Time) on positions still open. The rate is in pips per lot, swap can be a debit or a credit, and charges carry 11% VAT. For 10 lots of gold at an illustrative 80 pips, that's US$8.88 a day including VAT.

Q: How do the fees affect my profit or loss?
Your net result is gross P&L minus the transaction fee (currently 0%), the JFX & KBI fee, VAT and any swap charges, plus any swap credits. Fees are charged whether the trade ends in profit or loss.
