What Happens to My Open Positions or Pending Orders If I Disconnect the AI Agent?

Disconnecting an AI agent from Pluang Agentic Trading only removes its ability to read your account or place new trades — it has no effect on your existing holdings, open positions, or pending orders. Any order the agent already submitted before you disconnected keeps running through its normal lifecycle, exactly as if you had placed it manually and then simply closed the app: a pending Crypto or US Stocks order still gets processed and filled, or stays open until it expires or is manually canceled, according to its own order type.

Your holdings, portfolio, and account balance remain completely unaffected by revoking access — the connection that let the agent act and the assets already in your account are two entirely separate things.

Why disconnection can't touch what's already placed or already yours:

  • Order execution and account access are separate systems — once submitted, an order follows Pluang's own processing flow regardless of who or what placed it.
  • Disconnecting is forward-looking, not a rewind — it stops new actions from that point on, but doesn't reach back to cancel or alter an order already in the system.
  • Holdings and balance live in your Pluang account itself, not inside the agent connection.
  • This mirrors closing the app while an order is pending manually — the order keeps waiting to fill either way.
  • Fund withdrawal was never something the agent could do in the first place, so disconnection isn't protecting your balance from that risk specifically.

Related questions:

Q: Will disconnecting cancel a pending order the AI agent already placed?
No — a pending order keeps running through its normal lifecycle after disconnection, filled or left open exactly as it would be if placed manually.

Q: Do I lose access to my holdings if I disconnect the agent?
No — your holdings sit in your Pluang account, not inside the agent connection, and remain fully accessible through the app.

Q: Do I need to cancel pending orders before disconnecting?
No — you can disconnect at any time; any pending order continues on its own toward fill, expiry, or manual cancellation.

Q: Can I still see or manage orders the agent placed after disconnecting?
Yes — they appear in your normal order history and open-positions views, fully manageable by you.
