How Does Pluang Control What an AI Agent Can Access or Do in My Account?

Connecting an AI agent to your Pluang account through Pluang Agentic Trading is not an all-or-nothing grant of blanket account access. You authorize a specific, scoped set of permissions rather than handing over full control.

Key points:

  • You never share your Pluang password with the agent — the connection uses a separate authorization mechanism, not password sharing
  • The permission scope covers what the agent can read (portfolio, prices) and what actions it can take (like placing trades)
  • Withdrawing or transferring funds out of your account is never included in what the agent can do, under any configuration
  • You can revoke the agent's access at any time, immediately shutting off whatever permissions were granted

Related questions:

Q: Do I need to give the AI agent my Pluang password to connect it?
No. The connection does not involve sharing your password or login credentials with the agent at any point.

Q: Can I let the agent only check my portfolio and prices, without letting it place trades?
Fund withdrawal is never part of what's granted, regardless of what other permissions are active.

Q: If I allow the agent to trade, does that also let it withdraw my money?
No. Trading permission and withdrawal are not the same thing, and withdrawal is never included in what an AI agent can do.

Q: What if I want to stop the agent from accessing my account after connecting it?
You can revoke access at any time, and it takes effect immediately with no waiting period.
