How do I revoke an AI agent's access to my Pluang account?
You can revoke an AI agent's access to your Pluang account at any time, and the revocation takes effect immediately. The moment you cut the connection, the agent permanently loses the ability to read any of your account data — portfolio holdings, wallet balances, transaction history — and can no longer place, modify, or cancel any trade on US Stocks or Crypto on your behalf. Revoking access is a permission-layer action only: it does not touch your existing holdings, positions, or account balance in any way. Whatever assets, cash, or open positions you held before disconnecting the agent remain exactly as they were — nothing is sold, closed, or moved as a side effect of the revocation itself. You can do this from your Pluang account or security settings, under an AI agent / connected-apps management option.
- What stops immediately: The agent loses the ability to check your portfolio, wallet balance, and prices; loses the ability to place, modify, or cancel buy/sell orders on US Stocks or Crypto; and loses any other data-read permission it had under Pluang Agentic Trading.
- What stays exactly as it was: Your existing holdings, cash balances, and any positions or pending orders already placed are not affected by the revocation itself — nothing is automatically sold, closed, or cancelled just because you disconnected the agent.
- Where to do it: Look under your Pluang account or security settings for an "AI agent" or "connected apps" management option.
- What permissions you're removing: Before you revoke access, the agent operates under a defined permission scope, not full account control. See "How does Pluang control what an AI agent can access or do in my account?" for the complete breakdown of what a connected AI agent can and cannot do in your account.
- Reconnecting later: Revoking access ends the current connection only — it does not permanently block you from using Pluang Agentic Trading again. If you'd like to reconnect, you'd go through the same connection setup as before.
- If you suspect misuse: Revoke access immediately, then contact Pluang Care (live chat, tanya@pluang.com, or (021) 8063 0065, Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 WIB) so they can help review and secure your account.
Related questions:
Q: Will revoking access sell my open positions or cancel pending orders?
No — revoking an AI agent's access only removes its permission to read your account or place new trades; it has no effect on positions or orders that already exist. Any open position or pending order the agent placed before you disconnected it stays exactly as it was and continues to be managed under Pluang's normal rules. See "What happens to my open positions or pending orders if I disconnect the AI agent?" for exactly what happens to that open position or pending order going forward.
Q: Do I need to change my Pluang password or PIN after revoking agent access?
If you ever suspect your AI agent connection was compromised or misused, contact Pluang Care via live chat, tanya@pluang.com, or (021) 8063 0065 (Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 WIB) so they can help secure your account, and consider updating your password or PIN as an extra precaution.
Q: Can I reconnect an AI agent after I've revoked access?
Revoking access ends only that specific connection — it doesn't permanently block you from using Pluang Agentic Trading again. If you want to reconnect an AI agent later, you would go through the same connection setup you used originally.
Q: What permissions does an AI agent actually have before I revoke them?
A connected AI agent doesn't get unrestricted account access — it operates within a defined permission model that Pluang controls, covering exactly what data it can read and which actions it can take, such as placing buy or sell orders on US Stocks and Crypto. Revoking access removes all of these permissions at once. For the full breakdown, see "How does Pluang control what an AI agent can access or do in my account?"
