FAQ article

Does Pluang Agentic Trading execute trades automatically, or does it ask for my confirmation first?

Yes — Pluang Agentic Trading always asks for your confirmation before executing any trade. There's no auto-execution and no exceptions: every single order, no matter which asset or how it was instructed, stops at a confirmation step that you must actively approve before it goes through. This is a deliberate design choice — Pluang Agentic Trading is built around user consent and secure, compliant data handling, with safeguards across account access, data processing, and transaction execution, in line with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). Whatever instruction you give your AI agent, it prepares the order and then hands control back to you — nothing executes until you actively confirm.

  • Confirmation is mandatory, every time, with no exceptions. There is no scenario, asset class, or instruction type in which Pluang Agentic Trading places a trade without you confirming it first. This applies to every order, every time.
  • Pluang Agentic Trading is not an automatic trading robot. It never trades on its own initiative, doesn't promise guaranteed profit, and the final decision to execute any trade is 100% yours — made through the confirmation step, not assumed on your behalf. (See "Is Agentic Trading on Pluang safe?" for more on this.)
  • Each order carries a one-time-use, time-limited token. This prevents the same order from being duplicated or accidentally submitted twice, adding a technical safeguard on top of the confirmation step itself.
  • Confirmation sits alongside — not instead of — your other protections. The AI agent still only operates inside the permission scopes you've granted (see "How does Pluang control what an AI agent can access or do in my account?") and still cannot bypass account-level protections that sit above individual trades — your PIN/OTP/biometric login, 2FA for sensitive actions, and any trading limits Pluang applies to the connection. See "Is Agentic Trading on Pluang safe?" for the full account-security picture and "Are there trading limits (per-transaction or daily) when using an AI agent?" for how trading limits work alongside per-trade confirmation.

Related questions:

Q: What happens after I ask my AI agent to place a trade?
You give the instruction, the agent prepares the order based on your request and its granted permissions, and then you're asked to confirm before anything executes. Nothing happens without that confirmation — an instruction alone never results in a live order.

Q: Is per-trade confirmation the same thing as the permission scopes I grant an AI agent?
No — they're different layers. Permission scopes (see "How does Pluang control what an AI agent can access or do in my account?") decide what an agent is allowed to do at all, like whether it can place orders versus only view your portfolio. Confirmation is a separate, mandatory step that applies before every order executes, no matter what scope it falls within.

Q: Is Pluang Agentic Trading an automatic trading robot that trades on its own?
No. It never trades independently, doesn't promise guaranteed profit, and the final decision to execute any trade is always yours — made explicitly through the confirmation step.

Q: What stops an order from being accidentally submitted twice?
Every order includes a time-limited, one-time-use token, so a single confirmation can't be replayed or duplicated into a second order.

Q: Does a trading limit still matter if every trade already needs my confirmation?
Yes — it's an additional safeguard, not a replacement. See "Are there trading limits (per-transaction or daily) when using an AI agent?" for how Pluang applies trading limits to Agentic Trading connections alongside mandatory per-trade confirmation.
