How Does Pluang Handle US ETF Splits and Distributions?

Pluang processes US ETF splits and distributions automatically: a split changes your unit count and price on the effective date, and a distribution is credited to your USD balance after withholding tax. US Stocks and ETFs on Pluang are facilitated by PT PG Berjangka, a Financial Derivatives Trading Intermediary for derivative products with securities as the underlying asset, licensed and supervised by OJK. A split leaves the total value of your position unchanged, and Pluang recalculates your average purchase price to match. You can see each event in the Corporate Actions section of the ETF's asset page.

Splits

Pluang applies a split or reverse split automatically on its effective date. Your number of units and the price per unit change in opposite directions, so the value of your position stays the same, and your average purchase price is recalculated. You don't need to do anything.

Distributions

To receive a distribution, hold the ETF on or before its cum date. It is credited to your USD balance after US withholding tax of 15% on non-leveraged positions or 30% on 2x leveraged positions, usually the day after the payable date and up to seven days after in some cases.
