Why Was My Cashout Flagged as Suspicious?

A cashout is typically flagged as suspicious when the amount or frequency differs significantly from your usual activity, or when your account recently showed other signs of unauthorized access. Two other situations are often mistaken for a flag: a withdrawal to a bank account whose owner name doesn't match your registered Pluang name and e-KTP name is rejected, and a cashout blocked right after a PIN reset or change, a new device verification or a newly added bank account is the automatic 24-hour security hold.

Common reasons a cashout gets flagged:

  • Unusual amount or frequency — a withdrawal that's significantly larger, or more frequent, than your typical pattern.
  • Recent account risk signals — suspicious activity flagged on the account.
  • Other unusual patterns — Pluang's monitoring can flag other patterns too; the reasons above are the most common ones.

Not a flag — two other reasons a cashout can stop:

  • 24-hour security hold — a security-sensitive change, for example resetting or changing your PIN, verifying a new device or adding a bank account, blocks cashout and Crypto Send for 24 hours from when the change completes. On a new device, they stay blocked until you complete the face and liveness check, then for 24 more hours. The block is automatic, applies to every account and ends by itself. It is not a flag or a review, and Pluang Care cannot lift or shorten it. See "What Is the 24-Hour Security Hold on Pluang?" for how the hold works.
  • Name mismatch — your registered Pluang name, your e-KTP name and the bank account owner name must all match exactly. This AML check applies to every cashout, not just yours. A withdrawal with a name mismatch is rejected, not held for review. If your Pluang name differs from your e-KTP, contact Pluang Care to correct your registered name. If the bank account owner name differs from your e-KTP, withdraw to a bank account whose owner name matches your e-KTP exactly.

Why this happens:

As a regulated platform, Pluang applies anti-money laundering (AML) checks to withdrawals to confirm that funds are going to a legitimate, verified destination and to protect your account if it may have been compromised.

What to do if your cashout is flagged:

Contact Pluang Care with your transaction details via in-app live chat, tanya@pluang.com, or (021) 8063 0065 (Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 WIB) to confirm the transaction and provide any requested verification.

Related questions:

Q: Does a flagged cashout mean my account is banned?
No. A flag triggers a review, not a ban. Most flags are resolved once you confirm the transaction and any required details. A name mismatch is different: the withdrawal is rejected, so correct your registered name or use a bank account whose owner name matches your e-KTP before you cash out again.

Q: How long does a flagged cashout review take?
It depends on the case, so there's no fixed time. You don't need to submit the withdrawal again while it's being reviewed. If Pluang Care asks you for verification, sending it promptly helps the review finish sooner.

Q: Can I avoid future cashout flags?
Keep your registered name, e-KTP, and bank account name consistent, and cash out to a bank account you've used and verified before where possible.

Q: What if my cashout is flagged right after I changed my PIN?
That isn't a flag. A PIN reset or change blocks cashout and Crypto Send for 24 hours from when it completes. The block is automatic, applies to every account and ends by itself; it is not a review, and Pluang Care cannot lift or shorten it.
