When Does My 24-Hour Security Hold End?
The 24-hour security hold ends exactly 24 hours after the account change that triggered it finished completing — not 24 hours after you started the change, and not at midnight or at the start of the next business day. It runs on Pluang's server time rather than your device clock, so changing your phone's time zone or clock has no effect on it. When the window closes, cashout and Crypto Send re-enable automatically; if it closes while you are using the app, they become available again without you needing to log out and back in. The hold runs continuously, including overnight, at weekends and on public holidays — it is not tied to working hours, so a change made on a Friday evening clears on Saturday evening.
How the 24 hours are counted:
- Start point: the moment the triggering change completed — for example when your new PIN was accepted, not when you tapped "Reset PIN"
- Clock used: Pluang's server time. Your device's clock and time zone are irrelevant
- Runs continuously: through nights, weekends and public holidays. Not paused outside working hours
- End point: exactly 24 hours later, at which point both features re-enable on their own
If you make another triggering change during the window, the 24 hours restart from that most recent change. A PIN reset at 09:00 followed by an email change at 20:00 means the hold now runs until 20:00 the following day — 35 hours after your first action, not 24. If several account changes are needed, completing them in one sitting keeps the total wait to a single window.
Do not wait for a notification. There is currently no in-app banner, countdown, push notification or email that tells you the hold has started or ended. The reliable way to check is simply to try the cashout or Crypto Send again once you are confident 24 hours have passed since your last account change.
A practical way to work out your own end time: note the date and time you completed the change, add 24 hours, and treat that as the earliest moment to try again. If you are not sure exactly when the change completed, use the confirmation email Pluang sent you for it — those are timestamped.

Q: Is the hold counted from when I started or finished the change?
From when it finished. The clock starts at the moment the change actually took effect on your account — the new PIN accepted, the new email confirmed, the device verification passed — not when you began the process. For a change Pluang Care processed manually, it starts when the change was applied, which may be later than when you submitted the request.
Q: Does the hold end at midnight or after a full 24 hours?
After a full 24 hours. It is a rolling window, not a calendar day, so a change completed at 15:30 clears at 15:30 the next day rather than at midnight. This also means the hold is not affected by working hours — it counts down through nights, weekends and public holidays without interruption.
Q: Will Pluang notify me when the hold ends?
Not currently. There is no notification for the start or end of this hold, so do not wait for one. Note when you completed the change, add 24 hours, and try the cashout or Crypto Send again after that. If it works, the hold has cleared; if it does not, and 24 hours have genuinely passed, that is worth reporting.
Q: Do I need to log out and back in for cashout to work again?
No. Both features re-enable on their own, and if the window closes mid-session they become available without a re-login. That said, if you are looking at a screen that was loaded before the hold expired, pulling to refresh or reopening that page makes the change visible immediately rather than waiting for the app to refetch.
Q: Does changing my device's clock or time zone change when the hold ends?
No. The hold is enforced on Pluang's server time, so the countdown is identical no matter what your device says. Adjusting your phone's clock, switching time zone while travelling, or reinstalling the app will not bring the end time forward by a single minute.
