Who Is Eligible to Open a Pluang Account?
Anyone aged 18 or over can open a Pluang account: Indonesian citizens (WNI) register with a valid e-KTP, and foreign nationals (WNA) with a valid passport. You also need an active mobile number from an Indonesian provider, because Pluang confirms your number with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS or WhatsApp. US citizens submit a FATCA form as well. Each account must be registered with the investor's own identity document, so parents or guardians cannot open an account for a child.

Related questions:
Q: What is the minimum age to use Pluang?
18. Pluang reads the date of birth on the identity document you submit during Basic Verification and does not approve the registration if you are under 18.
Q: Can a parent open a Pluang account for their child?
No. Each account must be registered and verified with the investor's own identity document, so a parent or guardian cannot register on behalf of a minor.
Q: Can foreign nationals open a Pluang account?
Yes. Foreign nationals (WNA) register with a valid passport, and US citizens also submit a FATCA form. WNA can use Crypto, Gold, Mutual Funds, US Stocks, ETFs and US Stock Options after the matching verification, but Indonesian Stocks are not currently available to WNA, so no RDN is opened for them.
Q: Do I get access to every product as soon as I register?
No. Basic Verification opens Crypto and Gold. Indonesian Asset Verification adds Mutual Funds, and Indonesian Stocks for WNI, while Global & Yield Asset Verification adds US Stocks, ETFs and US Stock Options.
