What Are the Pros and Cons of Investing on Pluang?

Pluang's main pros are seven asset classes in one account, starting amounts from Rp10,000, and optional advanced tools; its main cons are extra verification for some products, fees that differ by product, and the risk of leveraged products. US stocks on Pluang are financial derivative contracts that follow the share price, so price movements and dividends pass through to you but shareholder voting rights do not. Indonesian stocks are not available to foreign nationals, and Commodities is open only to a limited group of users. Investment values can go up or down, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

Related questions:

Q: Are fees the same for every product on Pluang?
No. Each product has its own fee structure: a trade can carry Pluang's transaction fee, exchange or clearing fees, tax and, for some products, a spread built into the price. Check the fee overview for the product you plan to use, and the breakdown in the app before you confirm.

Q: Do I own the US shares I buy on Pluang?
Not directly. Your position is a financial derivative contract through PT PG Berjangka that follows the price of the US stock. Price movements and dividends pass through to you, but shareholder voting rights do not.

Q: Can foreign nationals use every product on Pluang?
Not every product. Foreign nationals (WNA) can invest in crypto and gold after Basic Verification, in mutual funds after Indonesian Asset Verification, and in US stocks and Options after Global & Yield Asset Verification. Indonesian stocks are not currently available to WNA.

Q: Which Pluang products carry higher risk?
Crypto Futures, US Stock Options and Commodities are derivatives and carry higher risk than holding the asset itself. Crypto Futures, leveraged US stocks and Commodities use leverage, which magnifies losses as well as gains, and a position can be closed automatically when margin runs too low.
