Why Haven't My Mutual Fund Sale Proceeds Arrived in My Bank Account?
The most common reason your mutual fund sale proceeds haven't arrived is that the sale is still within its normal processing time. The investment manager first verifies your sale, on the next business day if you sold before 13:00 WIB on an exchange day, or within 2 exchange days if you sold later, and the proceeds reach your mutual fund bank account within a maximum of 7 business days of the investment manager receiving your sell order. Weekends, national holidays and Cuti Bersama don't count. If more than 7 business days have passed, contact Pluang Care.
| Symptom / Condition | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| It has been fewer than 7 business days since you sold | Your sale is still being processed. The investment manager has to sell the fund's assets and recap the day's sales, and the custodian bank records the result before the proceeds can be transferred | Wait until the full 7 business days have passed. Under OJK regulation 23/POJK.04/2016 Article 24, proceeds are paid within a maximum of 7 business days of the investment manager receiving your sell order |
| More than 7 days have passed on the calendar, but a weekend or holiday fell in between | Only business days count: Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays and Cuti Bersama set by the government | Recount using business days only. For example, if you sold on a Friday, the Saturday and Sunday after it are not counted |
| You sold at or after 13:00 WIB, or on a Saturday, Sunday, national holiday or Cuti Bersama day | Your sale isn't processed until the next exchange day, at that day's NAB, and verification by the investment manager takes 2 exchange days | Expect the proceeds later, in calendar days, than for a sale made before 13:00 WIB on an exchange day. Next time, sell before 13:00 WIB on an exchange day to have your sale processed the same day |
| The fund's page still shows an amount under "Transaction in Progress" | Your sale is still being verified and hasn't been executed yet | Wait for verification to finish. The final NAB used for your sale is listed in your transaction details once it has been verified |
| You checked a bank account and the money isn't there | Proceeds are sent only to the mutual fund bank you chose on the "Tinjau Order" (Review Order) page when you sold, or, if you didn't choose one, to your main mutual fund bank account shown in the app | Check that specific account. To see your registered bank accounts, open "Akun" (Account) in the Pluang app and scroll to "Rekening Bank" (Bank Account) |
| More than 7 business days have passed since your sell order | The transfer needs to be checked by Pluang Care | Check that your registered mutual fund bank account is correct, then contact Pluang Care with your transaction details, as described below |

Related questions:
Q: My mutual fund sale proceeds still haven't arrived after 7 business days. What should I do?
First, make sure you counted only business days from when the investment manager received your sell order, leaving out weekends, national holidays and Cuti Bersama. Then check the account the proceeds were sent to: the mutual fund bank you chose on the "Tinjau Order" page, or your main mutual fund bank account. If the maximum period has passed, contact Pluang Care with your registered email, the fund name, the date and time of your sell order, and the sale amount.
Q: Why does the mutual fund redemption process take time?
Because the money in a mutual fund is invested in assets such as stocks, bonds or deposits, not held as cash. When you sell, the investment manager has to sell those assets and recap the day's sales, and the custodian bank records the result before the proceeds can be transferred. OJK sets the maximum at 7 business days.
Q: Can I cancel my sale or speed up the transfer?
No. A mutual fund sale made through the Pluang app can't be cancelled once it has been submitted, and the transfer follows the process above. What you can control is timing: a sale placed before 13:00 WIB on an exchange day is processed that same day, at that day's NAB.
Q: Will the proceeds go to my Pluang balance?
No. Mutual fund sale proceeds are sent only to a bank account registered as your mutual fund bank, and that account must be in your own name. To add one, follow the guide "Menambahkan Bank untuk Pencairan Reksa Dana" before you sell.
Q: The money arrived, but it's less than I expected. Why?
Usually for one of two reasons. If your receiving bank is different from the bank that holds the mutual fund, your bank deducts an interbank transfer fee of an estimated Rp2,500 to Rp30,000 per transaction. Also, the amount shown when you sold was an estimate, while your sale is calculated at the final NAB listed after verification.
