Can a Processed Gold Instalment Cancellation Be Undone?

No, a gold instalment cancellation cannot be undone once it has been processed: the plan ends, the cancellation fee is deducted, and the instalment cannot be restored or reactivated. That is why the check has to happen before you confirm. When you tap Cancel Installment, the confirmation pop-up shows the Cancellation Fee, which covers a 10% cancellation penalty and your forfeited down payment, and the Refunded Funds, which are what you have paid minus that fee and go back to your Rupiah balance. If you still want gold on instalment afterwards, you can create a new instalment, but it starts from scratch: a new 8% down payment, a new tenor, interest as shown in the new simulation, and the buy price at the moment you create it, which may be higher or lower than the price you had locked in before.

Check these before you tap YES

  • The Refunded Funds amount. If the penalty and the down payment exceed what you have paid, it can be zero.
  • Whether the problem is a short-term cash gap. There is no late fee, and a plan is only cancelled automatically after 2 consecutive unpaid instalments, so topping up your Rupiah balance before the next 25th may be enough to keep it running.
  • How far along the plan is. The more you have paid, the more is at stake, and the gold only reaches your balance when the status is Completed.
  • Whether your locked price matters to you. A new instalment later uses the buy price at that time, not the one you have now.

After a cancellation. Any refund arrives in your Rupiah balance. To own gold again, you can buy it outright from Rp10,000, or start a new instalment from 0.5 gram; see the guide “How to Buy Gold on Instalment (Cicilan Emas) on Pluang”.

Did not cancel it yourself? A plan can also be cancelled automatically after 2 consecutive unpaid instalments. The article on automatic cancellation explains why that happens and how to keep your Rupiah balance ready for the 25th.

Related questions:

Q: Can Pluang Care reactivate my cancelled gold instalment?
No. A processed cancellation cannot be reversed, so contacting support will not bring the plan back. Pluang Care can still help if something looks wrong after the cancellation, for example if the refund in your Rupiah balance does not match the Refunded Funds amount you saw on the confirmation pop-up. Have the instalment details and the date you cancelled ready when you get in touch.

Q: Will my old down payment count towards a new gold instalment?
No. The down payment of a cancelled instalment is forfeited and does not carry over. A new instalment is a separate plan with its own 8% down payment, paid together with its first instalment, plus its own tenor and monthly schedule. Check that your Rupiah balance covers that first payment before you create it, and review the simulation before you swipe to confirm.

Q: Is the gold price the same if I create a new instalment?
Not necessarily. Every instalment locks the buy price at the moment it is created, so a new plan uses the price at that time, which may be higher or lower than the one on your cancelled plan. The interest also depends on the tenor you choose and is shown in the new simulation. Compare the figures on the review screen before you confirm, since they become fixed once the plan starts.

Q: I cancelled my gold instalment by mistake. What can I do now?
The cancellation itself cannot be undone, but you still have options. Any refund is already in your Rupiah balance. You can use it to buy gold outright from Rp10,000 at the current buy price, with the gold added to your balance straight after the purchase, or create a new instalment from 0.5 gram if you prefer to keep paying monthly over 3 to 36 months.
