Why Does My Event Calendar Look Different From Someone Else's?
This is normal and not a bug. Upcoming Events is personal: it picks up to 10 events from the next 14 days based on the stocks you hold, how big each position is in your portfolio and the watchlists you created yourself, so two users rarely see the same list. Labels such as HELD and WATCHLIST also depend on your own portfolio and watchlists. Users who aren't logged in, or who have no holdings and no watchlist of their own, see a market-wide list instead. The full Calendar page lists the same events for everyone; only the My Assets filter and the row labels change from user to user.
- Upcoming Events is personal: Events for stocks you hold or watch come first, ranked partly by how big each position is. Market-wide events fill the remaining places.
- Labels are personal: HELD means the stock is in your portfolio, WATCHLIST means it's on one of your watchlists, and YOUR MARKET means a macro event affects a market you hold. Someone else may see a different label, or none, on the same event.
- Guests and users without holdings: See a market-wide top 10 ranked by timing, impact, event type and company size.
- Full Calendar page: Shows the same events for everyone. My Assets narrows it to stocks in your portfolio or your watchlists, so that view differs between users.
- Refresh timing: Data refreshes when you open the page and after a few minutes, with no live streaming, so two people checking at slightly different times may briefly see different figures.
Related questions:
Q: Is the full Calendar page the same for everyone?
Yes. The full Calendar page lists the same events for every user. What can differ is the My Assets filter, which shows only events for stocks in your own portfolio or watchlists, and the labels on each row, such as HELD or WATCHLIST.
Q: Will my list change after I buy a stock?
Yes. Once the stock is in your portfolio, its events are treated as yours: they can move up in Upcoming Events and show the HELD label on the next refresh, for example when you reopen the page. The same happens when you add a stock to a watchlist you created.
Q: Does my app language change the events I see?
No. The app language changes only labels and buttons. Event names and descriptions, such as US CPI or FOMC, are shown in English in both languages, and the events listed are the same. Changing the app language also refreshes the calendar.
Q: Why does the same event appear under two chips?
The All, US Stocks and ID Stocks chips each pick their own top 10, so one event can appear under more than one chip. Within a single list, each event appears only once.
