What Events Does Event Calendar Show?
Event Calendar shows five types of events for US stocks and Indonesian stocks: Economic releases, such as the FOMC rate decision, US CPI or the Bank Indonesia rate decision; Earnings, when a company reports its results; IPOs, when a company offers its shares to the public before listing; Corporate Actions, such as dividends, stock splits and rights issues; and Holidays, when a market is closed or closes early. Events for a single stock appear only if that stock can be traded on Pluang. IPOs are the exception, because the company isn't listed yet. Some corporate actions, such as mergers and name changes, aren't covered yet, and there are no events for crypto, gold, mutual funds, futures, options or commodities.
- Economic: Macro data and central bank decisions. US examples: the FOMC rate decision, US CPI, PCE, non-farm payrolls and GDP. Indonesian examples: the Bank Indonesia rate decision, Indonesia inflation (CPI) and GDP.
- Earnings: A company's results release, with the expected EPS where available and the actual EPS once it is out.
- IPO: A company's initial public offering, with its price range or offering price and key dates such as book building, offering, allotment, distribution and listing.
- Corporate Action, US Stocks: Cash Dividend, Stock Dividend, Stock Split, Reverse Split and Spin-off.
- Corporate Action, ID Stocks: Dividend, Stock Split, Reverse Stock Split, Bonus, RUPS, Warrant and Rights Issue. Details may not be available for every corporate action.
- Holiday: Market closures and early closes. These appear on the full Calendar page only, not in Upcoming Events.
- Not covered yet: Mergers, name changes, unit splits, redemptions and similar corporate actions, plus any events for crypto, gold, mutual funds, futures, options or commodities.
- Tradable on Pluang: Events for a single stock, such as its earnings or dividend, appear only for stocks you can trade on Pluang. IPOs are the exception.
Related questions:
Q: Are crypto or gold events included?
Not at the moment. Event Calendar covers events for US stocks and Indonesian stocks only. There are no events for crypto, gold, mutual funds, futures, options or commodities, and no date has been announced for adding them.
Q: Why isn't every company's earnings shown?
Event Calendar shows single-stock events, including earnings, only for stocks you can trade on Pluang, so a company that isn't available on Pluang won't appear. In Upcoming Events, Pluang also limits how many earnings appear so they don't crowd out other events, and leaves out low-impact events for stocks you neither hold nor watch. To see more, tap See all and choose the Earnings event type on the full Calendar page.
Q: Are market holidays included?
Yes, on the full Calendar page. Holidays, including market closures and early closes, are listed at the end of their day and have no detail sheet. They never appear in the Upcoming Events module.
Q: What does an IPO entry show?
The company name, its sector, the price range and later the offering price, and lifecycle dates: book building, offering, allotment, distribution and listing. Indonesian IPOs also show whether the stock is syariah. Tap View Details to open the e-IPO page, since the stock can't be traded until it lists.
