Can I Cancel an Unstaking Request After Submitting It?

No. Once an unstaking request has been submitted and processed by the daily 9AM WIB batch, it cannot be cancelled or reversed. From that point the coins move into the network-mandated unbonding period and are only returned to your available wallet once Un-bonding Done is reached. There is no way to pause, freeze, or re-activate a position mid-unbonding. To keep earning, you would wait for the coins to return, then submit a fresh staking request that starts a new bonding period. Rewards already accrued are preserved, but rewards stop building during unbonding, so you forfeit what the coins would have earned over that waiting period.

Good to know:

  • The point of no return is the 9AM WIB batch. The request sits in Un-bonding Requested until the batch runs; once it becomes Un-bonding In-Progress, it cannot be cancelled or reversed.
  • Reward accrual stops almost immediately. Rewards stop from the day after you submit; the Unstaking Requested quantity only earns for the submission day itself.
  • Rewards you already earned are safe. Accrued rewards are preserved and paid on the next weekly distribution — every Tuesday, in the same coin you staked.
  • Unbonding is a network rule. The unbonding period is a blockchain-imposed lock-up when coins are undelegated, so it cannot be shortened, skipped, or interrupted.
  • Re-staking means starting over. To resume earning, let unbonding finish, receive the coins, then submit a new staking request with its own fresh bonding period.
  • The trade-off, at a glance. Accrued rewards preserved; future rewards during unbonding forfeited; coins returned at the end of unbonding; re-staking requires a new bonding period.

Related questions:

Q: I changed my mind right after submitting — can I undo it?
Once the 9AM WIB batch processes it, the request cannot be reversed and unbonding runs to completion. If the batch has not run yet, check the app immediately to see whether it is still in a state you can act on.

Q: Will I lose the rewards I have already earned if I unstake?
No. Rewards accrued up to your request are preserved and paid on the next weekly distribution (every Tuesday). Only future rewards during unbonding are forfeited, since coins stop earning after the submission day.

Q: Can I pause or freeze the unstaking process once it starts?
No. Once in Un-bonding In-Progress, the process cannot be paused or rolled back — the coins are undelegated on-chain and the unbonding period must run its full course until Un-bonding Done.

Q: How soon can I re-stake after my coins are returned?
As soon as the status shows Un-bonding Done and the coins are back in your wallet, you can submit a new staking request. It then goes through its own bonding period before rewards resume.

Q: Is there a fee or penalty for exiting early?
Accrued rewards are preserved, so there is no clawback; the main cost is the reward accrual you give up during unbonding. For specific charges by coin, check the staking page in the app.
