How is my close quantity rounded, and what's the minimum I can close?

When you type a quantity, use the stepper, or drag the % slider to set how much of a Crypto Futures position to close, Pluang always rounds the amount down to the nearest valid contract multiple — it never rounds up, so you never end up closing more than you intended. Separately, the amount you close must be at or above that contract's minimum order quantity, which is set by CFX and varies from contract to contract; you can always see the current minimum for a specific contract in the app when you open the Close Position sheet or panel. If you type or slide to an amount below that minimum, the field shows an inline error and blocks submission until you increase it. These rules apply the same way whether you're closing a position fully or partially, and on both the mobile app and Web Trading.

  • Rounding direction: always down. If your typed or slider-derived quantity isn't an exact multiple of the contract's minimum step, the app rounds it down and re-syncs the typed amount, stepper, and slider so all three always show the same, valid number before you submit.
  • Minimum order quantity: enforced per contract by CFX's configuration — it isn't a single platform-wide number, so always check the amount shown in the app for the specific contract you're closing rather than assuming a fixed figure.
  • Stepper behavior: each tap of the −/+ stepper changes the quantity by one minimum-contract step, keeping every adjustment already valid.
  • Two separate maximums apply. The closing quantity can never exceed your current live position size, and a maximum quantity per transaction also applies. Exceeding either one triggers its own inline error naming the limit you've gone past, so you can see which cap you've hit and reduce the amount accordingly.

Related questions:

Q: What happens if I type a quantity that isn't a valid contract multiple?
The app automatically rounds it down to the nearest valid multiple and updates the typed field, stepper, and % slider together so they stay in sync, and shows you the final rounded quantity before you submit — you're never asked to fix the number manually.

Q: Where can I check the exact minimum order quantity for a contract?
Open the Close Position sheet or panel for that contract — the minimum is enforced live from CFX's per-contract configuration and reflected in the inline error message if your amount is too low, so you don't need to look it up separately beforehand.

Q: Does the minimum quantity rule apply to both Market and Limit closes?
Yes — the round-down and minimum-quantity checks apply the same way regardless of whether you're placing a Market Close or a Limit Close, and regardless of whether you're closing the position fully or only partially.

Q: Is the minimum quantity the same across all Crypto Futures contracts?
No — the minimum order quantity is configured per contract by CFX, so it can differ from one contract to another; always rely on the amount shown in the app for the specific contract you're trading rather than assuming it matches another contract you've used before.
