The AI Agent Can See My Portfolio But Can’t Place Trades

Because Agentic Trading permissions are granted separately. Market data, portfolio access and trading are distinct permissions, and an agent granted only the first two genuinely cannot place an order. Re-connect and approve the trading permission if you want it to trade for you.

Related questions:

Q: Is this a bug?
No. Separate permissions are a deliberate safety design, so you can let an agent read your portfolio without letting it trade.

Q: Can the agent grant itself trading permission?
No. Only you can grant it, through Pluang’s official authorisation flow.

Q: If I grant trading, can the agent withdraw my money?
No. Withdrawing or transferring funds out of your account is never available to an AI agent, whatever else you grant.

Q: How do I check what I granted?
Review the agent’s connection in your Pluang account settings.
