What are the photo requirements for identity verification on Pluang?

To pass identity verification on Pluang, your ID (KTP) photo and selfie must meet 10 specific requirements — the most common rejection causes are blurry photos, photos taken of another photo, faces that are cut off, or poor lighting. Meeting all requirements the first time avoids delays of 1–2 business days.

All 10 requirements for your ID photo and selfie:

  1. Good photo quality — not blurry, pixelated, or unclear; all text must be fully readable
  2. Taken directly — do not photograph a printed photo or screenshot of your ID
  3. Not cropped or cut off — the entire ID card and your full face must be visible
  4. No editing or manipulation — submit the original unaltered photo
  5. Use your original, valid e-KTP — expired IDs or unofficial copies are not accepted
  6. Close-up distance — take the selfie at most 30 cm from the camera so your face is clearly visible
  7. Full face within the frame — your entire face must be inside the photo frame
  8. Face matches the ID — the selfie must match the photo on your e-KTP
  9. Good lighting — take photos in a well-lit room; face must not appear dark, blurry, or shadowed
  10. Face fully unobstructed — remove masks, sunglasses, hats, or anything else covering your face

Important notes:

  • All 10 requirements apply to both the ID photo and the selfie
  • Failing any one requirement will result in verification being rejected — you'll need to resubmit
  • Verification review takes 1–2 business days after resubmission
