Is There a Minimum or Maximum USD Balance or Yield on Pluang?

There is no minimum USD balance required to earn USD Yield — any withdrawable USD cash balance can start earning it — but two limits do apply, one at each end. On the payout side, Pluang only credits yield once the calculated amount for the month reaches at least $0.01. If the figure works out to $0.00987, for example, no yield is paid for that month, because USD balances are tracked to two decimal places. On the balance side, there is a maximum eligible average balance of $100,000. Yield is calculated only on the first $100,000 of your average balance, so if you hold an average balance of $150,000, only $100,000 of it generates yield and the remaining $50,000 produces nothing extra. This cap applies per account regardless of membership tier, so Regular and Pluang Plus users face the same ceiling.

  • No minimum balance: Any withdrawable USD cash balance can start earning yield; there is no entry threshold.
  • Minimum payout: $0.01 — if the calculated yield for the month is below one cent, nothing is paid that month.
  • Why the minimum exists: USD balances are tracked to two decimal places, so a figure like $0.00987 cannot be credited.
  • Maximum eligible balance: $100,000 average balance — yield is calculated only on the first $100,000.
  • Above the cap: A $150,000 average balance earns yield on $100,000 only; the remaining $50,000 produces nothing extra.
  • Same for every tier: The $100,000 cap applies per account regardless of whether you are Regular or Pluang Plus.

Related questions:

Q: Is there a minimum balance I need before I can earn yield?
No. There is no minimum USD cash balance required to activate USD Yield or to start earning on it, so a small balance qualifies in exactly the same way a large one does. The only threshold in the program sits on the payout side rather than the balance side: yield is credited once the calculated monthly amount reaches at least $0.01. Below that, nothing is paid for the month.

Q: What happens if my calculated yield is less than one cent?
It is not paid for that month. USD balances are tracked to two decimal places, so a calculated figure of $0.00987, for example, cannot be credited and no yield appears for that month. Your balance keeps accruing normally afterwards, and in a later month with a larger balance or more participating days the calculated amount can cross the $0.01 threshold and be paid as usual.

Q: Is there a maximum balance that can earn USD Yield?
Yes — the maximum eligible average balance is $100,000. Yield is calculated only on the first $100,000 of your average balance each month, so if your average balance is $150,000, yield still applies to $100,000 of it and the remaining $50,000 generates nothing extra. The cap works on your average balance for the month rather than on any single day's figure.

Q: Does the $100,000 cap differ between Regular and Pluang Plus?
No. The $100,000 maximum eligible average balance applies per account regardless of membership tier, so Regular users and Pluang Plus members face exactly the same ceiling. Membership tier changes the annual rate applied to the eligible balance, not the size of the balance that qualifies. A Pluang Plus member with a very large balance is capped at the same $100,000 as everyone else.
