What Is USD Yield on Pluang?

USD Yield is a Pluang program that pays you an annual return on the USD balance you keep in the Pluang app. It is not a separate investment product you buy — it is a return earned on cash you are already holding, so it keeps working while you decide what to invest in. Rates depend on your membership tier: Pluang Plus members earn 3.38% per year and Regular users earn 0.63% per year, effective since 26 December 2025. You have to activate USD Yield yourself in the app; simply holding a USD balance does not start it automatically. Once it is active, the yield you accumulate is paid on the 5th of each month for the previous month's balance, credited straight into your USD balance, and listed as its own entry in your USD Balance transaction history so you can always verify what you earned and when.

  • What it is: A Pluang program paying an annual return on the USD balance held in your Pluang app — a return on cash, not a separate product you purchase.
  • Current rates (effective 26 December 2025): Pluang Plus 3.38% per year; Regular users 0.63% per year.
  • Activation: Must be switched on manually in the app; holding a USD balance alone does not start it.
  • Payout date: The 5th of each month, covering the previous month's balance.
  • Where it lands: Credited directly into your USD balance and listed in your USD Balance transaction history.
  • Illustration: A Regular user holding $1,000 across a year at 0.63% would accumulate around $6.30, assuming no deposits, transactions, or withdrawals in that period.
  • Rates are not fixed: The yield rate can change over time in line with US interest rate policy.

Related questions:

Q: What are the current USD Yield rates?
As of 26 December 2025, Pluang Plus members earn 3.38% per year on their USD balance, while Regular users earn 0.63% per year. Which rate applies to you is decided by your membership tier at the time each day's balance is counted, not just at the moment of payout. These figures are the current rates rather than permanent ones — they are reviewed and adjusted in line with US interest rate policy over time.

Q: Do I have to activate USD Yield, or does it start on its own?
You have to activate it yourself in the Pluang app. Holding a USD balance does not enrol you automatically, so a balance sitting in an account where USD Yield was never switched on earns nothing. Once you complete activation, your qualifying balance starts counting toward the next monthly calculation. You can activate at any point in the month rather than waiting for a new month to begin.

Q: When is USD Yield paid, and where can I see it?
Yield is paid on the 5th of each month and covers the previous month's balance — so November's yield arrives on 5 December. The amount is credited directly into your USD balance rather than into a separate wallet. It also appears as its own line item in your USD Balance transaction history inside the app, so you can confirm exactly how much was paid and on which date.

Q: Is USD Yield an investment product I have to buy?
No. USD Yield is a return paid on the USD balance you already hold in the app, not a fund, stock, or instrument you purchase. There is nothing to select, price, or hold a position in — once the program is activated, your qualifying USD balance earns the applicable annual rate on its own. That makes it useful for cash you are holding between investment decisions rather than only for long-term positions.
