What Is the Transaction Fee for US Stocks on Pluang?

Yes — every US Stock buy and sell on Pluang carries a Pluang transaction fee of 0.2% for Pluang Plus members or 0.3% for Regular members, plus 11% VAT applied on top of that fee. On top of the Pluang fee, every transaction — regardless of membership tier — also carries mandatory regulatory fees: a JFX & KBI fee of 0.05% of transaction value (capped at $0.10, plus VAT), and on sell orders specifically, a SEC fee of 0.00278%, a TAF fee of $0.000166 per unit, and a CAT fee of $0.000035 per unit, each with a $0.01 minimum. These regulatory fees apply to all users equally and are not affected by your Pluang Plus or Regular status, since they are set by US market infrastructure rather than by Pluang itself.

Pluang transaction fee (buy and sell):

MembershipFee
Pluang Plus0.2% per transaction
Regular0.3% per transaction

VAT of 11% is applied on top of this fee amount (calculated as 11/12 × 12%, the standard Indonesian VAT computation).

Mandatory regulatory fees (all users, all transactions):

JFX & KBI fee0.05% of transaction valueBuy and sellMax $0.10 per transaction

These regulatory fees fund US exchange, clearing, and securities-regulator infrastructure and apply identically whether you are Pluang Plus or Regular — only the Pluang-side transaction fee percentage changes between tiers.

Related questions:

Q: Does the transaction fee differ between Pluang Plus and Regular members?
Yes — Pluang Plus members pay a 0.2% transaction fee per trade, while Regular members pay 0.3%. This is the only fee component that changes based on your membership tier; every other fee, including the JFX & KBI fee and the US regulatory fees, applies at the same rate to both tiers regardless of your NIV or how long you've held Pluang Plus status.

Q: Are the mandatory regulatory fees (SEC, TAF, CAT) charged on every trade?
The SEC and TAF fees only apply on sell orders, while the JFX & KBI fee and the CAT fee apply on both buy and sell transactions. All four carry small minimum charges (typically $0.01), so on very small trades, these minimums can end up being the larger portion of your total cost compared to the percentage-based fees, especially on trades well under $10.

Q: Is VAT charged on the full transaction value or just on the fees?
VAT (11%) is charged only on the fee amounts themselves, not on your total transaction value. So if your Pluang transaction fee is $0.40, the VAT is calculated as roughly 11% of that $0.40, not 11% of your full trade size — the same logic applies to VAT on the JFX & KBI fee, keeping the tax burden proportional to the actual fees charged rather than to your total trade size.

Q: Why do sell orders have more fee components than buy orders?
The SEC fee and TAF fee are US regulatory fees that specifically apply to securities sales under US market rules, which is why they only appear on the sell side. Buy orders still carry the Pluang transaction fee, its VAT, the JFX & KBI fee, and the CAT fee — just without the sell-specific SEC and TAF charges layered on top.
