Where does Pluang keep user funds and assets, and how are they protected?
Pluang does not keep user funds and assets in one place: each product's cash and assets are held with its own custodian, clearing house or bank, as the table below shows. Cash for Indonesian stocks sits in an RDN (Rekening Dana Nasabah) opened in your own name at Bank Jago or BCA, and your shares are held at KSEI, Indonesia's central securities depository. Crypto is held through Indonesian Coin Custodian (ICC), US stocks through Alpaca Securities LLC, gold in a depository owned by Brink's, mutual fund assets with a licensed custodian bank supervised by OJK, and Commodities margin in a segregated account at Bank Artha Graha. Some products also carry a protection scheme with a stated limit, such as LPS cover for RDN cash of up to Rp2,000,000,000 per customer per bank, and SIPF compensation of up to Rp100,000,000 per Indonesian stock investor. These arrangements cover where your assets are held, not the market risk of investing.

None of these arrangements protects against market losses. Investment values can go up or down, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

Related questions:
Q: What is a segregated account?
A segregated account is a bank account in a company's name that is used only to hold the pooled funds of all its customers for their transactions, kept separate from the company's own operating accounts. Commodities margin on Pluang is held this way, at Bank Artha Graha. An RDN works differently: it is opened in your own name at Bank Jago or BCA, rather than pooled with other customers' money.
Q: Does Pluang hold the money in my RDN?
No. Your RDN is opened in your own name at Bank Jago or BCA, through Pluang's licensed partner entities, and it is the account you use to buy and sell Indonesian stocks. RDN balances are covered by LPS (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan) up to Rp2,000,000,000 per customer per bank, Indonesia's deposit insurance scheme for bank accounts. The shares you buy are held separately, at KSEI.
Q: Does Pluang receive my mutual fund money directly?
No. PT Sarana Santosa Sejati distributes mutual funds on Pluang as a licensed Mutual Fund Selling Agent (APERD), and an APERD does not receive customer money directly. Your top-up is forwarded to the custodian bank that works with each fund's investment manager, and the fund's assets are held by that licensed custodian bank, supervised by OJK. Each fund's fact sheet names its custodian bank.
Q: Where is my Crypto Futures margin held?
Crypto Futures margin is held with Kliring Komoditi Indonesia (KKI), the clearing house, and Indonesian Coin Custodian (ICC), the crypto custodian, rather than at a bank. Contracts are traded on the Central Finansial X (CFX) exchange and cleared by KKI. Crypto Futures is facilitated by PT Bumi Santosa Cemerlang, a Digital Financial Asset Trader licensed and supervised by OJK, the same company and licence as spot crypto.
Q: Do these arrangements protect me from investment losses?
No. They cover where your cash and assets are held and, where a limit is stated, what a protection scheme pays: LPS covers RDN cash up to its limit, and SIPF compensates Indonesian stock investors if a securities company fails. None of them covers a fall in market prices. Investment values can go up or down, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
