How Can I See My Mutual Fund Profit in the Pluang App?

To see mutual fund profit in the Pluang app, open Portfolio and choose the mutual fund you own to open its asset page. In the "Your Position" section, Profit or Loss Estimation shows your estimated profit or loss if you sold now, calculated from the difference between today's price and your average purchase price, multiplied by the units you own. The same section also shows your Total Value, Current Value, Transaction in Progress, Number of Units, Net Value and On Going Purchase, so you can see what you own and what is still being verified. These values follow the mutual fund transaction deadline: transactions from 00:00 to 12:59 WIB get the price of the payment day, and transactions from 13:00 to 23:59 WIB get the price of the next exchange trading day. The rest of the page shows data about the fund: 1Y Annualised Volatility, 1Y Sharpe Ratio, Product Type, AUM, Risk Level and Max Drawdown 1Y. At the bottom of the page, you can open the fund's Prospectus and Fund Fact Sheet.

Mutual fund transaction deadline (used for Total Value and Transaction in Progress)

  • Transactions from 00:00 to 12:59 WIB: the price per unit follows the payment day (valid on exchange trading days).
  • Transactions from 13:00 to 23:59 WIB: the price per unit follows the H+1 price, on the next exchange trading day.

Profit or Loss Estimation example

  • Fund: Batavia Dana Kas Maxima.
  • Average purchase price: Rp1,250 per unit.
  • Today's price: Rp1,300 per unit.
  • Total units owned: 2,000 units.
  • Calculation: today's price − average purchase price = Rp1,300 − Rp1,250 = Rp50 per unit, × 2,000 units = Rp100,000.
  • Result: if you sell the fund today, you could make a profit of Rp100,000.

Related questions:

Q: Apart from the asset page, how can I see my realised mutual fund profit?
The asset page shows the Profit or Loss Estimation, which is only an estimate for a sale made now. Your realised mutual fund profit or loss from sales made between 1 January and 31 December is shown in the Tax Report, under Account → Reports → Tax Report in the Pluang app, and a year's report becomes available once that year has ended.

Q: How is the Profit or Loss Estimation calculated?
It is the difference between today's price and your average purchase price, multiplied by the units you own. For example, with 2,000 units bought at an average of Rp1,250 and a price today of Rp1,300, the estimate is Rp50 × 2,000 = Rp100,000. It is only an estimate: an actual sale is priced at the NAB of the trading day set by the 13:00 WIB cut-off.

Q: What is the difference between Total Value and Current Value on the mutual fund page?
Total Value is the rupiah value of all your units at today's NAV price, including transactions that are still in progress. Current Value covers only the units that have been verified. That is why Total Value can be higher than Current Value while a purchase is still being verified, and the two match again once the transaction has been executed.

Q: Why does my purchase appear under On Going Purchase?
On Going Purchase shows mutual fund units whose transactions are still being verified and have not yet been executed. These units are not counted in your Number of Units yet, but their rupiah value is included in Total Value and shown under Transaction in Progress. Units are added after the transaction process is completed, on the next exchange trading day.

Q: What do 1Y Sharpe Ratio, Max Drawdown 1Y and Risk Level mean?
The 1Y Sharpe Ratio compares a fund's performance with its risk over one year, and a higher ratio indicates better potential performance once risk is considered. Max Drawdown 1Y is the largest fall from a peak to a low point over one year, before a new peak is reached. Risk Level shows how exposed the fund's value is to risks such as government economic policy, the country's economic conditions and the gap between demand and supply. Read the fund's Prospectus, at the bottom of the asset page, for its full risk description before you invest.
