Can I use Broker Activity to decide which Indonesian stocks to buy on Pluang?
Broker Activity on Pluang can help you research an Indonesian stock, but it is not a buy or sell recommendation and it does not predict where the price will go. The tab shows who traded the stock in the past: which brokers bought and sold, how much went through foreign brokers, and how buyers and sellers were matched. Those figures have limits. A broker trades for many clients at once, so one broker's net buying is not the same as one investor building a position. Foreign means the broker firm, not the investor, and a single large negotiated deal can swing the net foreign figure. The data is updated once a day, so it describes trading that has already happened. Use Broker Activity as one input alongside the company's financial reports, recent news, the price and your own goals and risk tolerance.
What Broker Activity can tell you
- Whether foreign brokers were net buyers or net sellers over a period.
- Which brokers bought and sold the most, and how concentrated the trading was.
- How the busiest brokers traded as the price moved.
What it can't tell you
- Who the investors behind each broker were, or why they traded.
- Whether a broker's buying will continue.
- Where the stock's price will go next.

Q: Does foreign net buying mean the price will rise?
No. Foreign net buying means foreign broker firms bought more of the stock than they sold over the period you chose. Prices can still fall afterwards, because many other buyers and sellers, news and market conditions affect the price. The figure can also be driven by one large negotiated deal, so compare the Regular board with All Market before reading much into it.
Q: Is one broker's heavy buying the same as a big investor accumulating?
Not necessarily. Each broker executes orders for many clients, so a broker's net buying adds up the trades of all of them, which can include retail investors, funds and the broker's own trading. Broker Activity cannot show who those clients are or why they traded. A pattern that looks like accumulation can therefore have several explanations, and it may not continue.
Q: What else should I check before buying an Indonesian stock?
Look at the company itself: its financial reports, its business and any recent news or corporate actions. Check the price chart and the order book on the stock page, and think about how much you can afford to lose, since stock prices can fall as well as rise. Broker Activity then adds context on who has been trading, as one part of your research.
