How is IDR Yield calculated?
IDR Yield is calculated every day with this formula: your IDR Cash balance at 23:59 WIB × your annual rate ÷ 365. The annual rate is 2.5% if you are a Pluang Plus member that day and 1% if you are a regular user, as of October 2026. Pluang adds up the daily amounts for every day of the month, rounds the total down to the whole rupiah, and pays it into your IDR Cash by the 10th of the following month. Every calendar day counts, including weekends and public holidays, as long as IDR Yield is active. Only the balance at 23:59 WIB matters: money added during the day earns for that day if it is still in the wallet at 23:59 WIB, and money moved out before 23:59 WIB earns nothing for that day.
Formula
- Daily yield = balance at 23:59 WIB × annual rate ÷ 365
- Monthly yield = sum of the daily yields, rounded down to the whole rupiah
Example: Rp10,000,000 held for a 30-day month
| Pluang Plus (2.5%) | Regular (1%) | |
|---|---|---|
| Daily yield | Rp684.93 | Rp273.97 |
| Total for 30 days | Rp20,547.95 | Rp8,219.18 |
| Amount paid | Rp20,547 | Rp8,219 |
You can follow the yield building up during the current month in the app, and the final amount is credited by the 10th of the following month.
Related questions
Q: Does yield accrue on weekends and public holidays?
Yes. IDR Yield counts every calendar day, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, which is why the annual rate is divided by 365. If your money stays in your IDR Cash over a long weekend, each of those days earns yield on your 23:59 WIB balance. Your yield does not pause when the stock exchange or the banks are closed.
Q: What if my balance changes during the day?
Only your balance at 23:59 WIB counts for each day. If you top up in the morning and the money is still there at 23:59 WIB, you earn on it for that day. If you move money out before 23:59 WIB, it earns nothing for that day. Movements in between do not matter, because the balance is checked once a day, at 23:59 WIB.
Q: Why is my payout slightly lower than my own calculation?
The monthly total is rounded down to the whole rupiah before it is paid, so daily amounts adding up to Rp8,219.18 are paid as Rp8,219. Your rate may also have changed during the month, for example if your Pluang Plus status changed, because each day uses the rate that applied that day. Money that was not in your IDR Cash at 23:59 WIB on a given day also earns nothing for that day.
Q: Does IDR Yield compound?
Yield is paid once a month, by the 10th of the following month, into your IDR Cash. From the day it is credited, it is part of your balance, so it earns yield too as long as it is still in your IDR Cash at 23:59 WIB. Yield that has accrued during the month but has not yet been paid does not earn yield of its own.
