ICON Network to shut down Dec 31, 2026; ICX holders must migrate to SODA by then at 1:1 ratio

The ICON Network will permanently shut down on December 31, 2026, after entering an economic shutdown phase in March 2026. ICX holders have until this date to migrate their tokens to SODA on the SODAX platform at a fixed 1:1 ratio, with migration becoming one-way from September 30, 2026. After shutdown, the ICON blockchain will remain as a read-only archive, and any unmigrated ICX will be stranded. The transition aims to consolidate liquidity and governance into SODAX, supported by incentives and exchange listings like Kraken, marking the end of ICON's original economic model.
