Boeing flags software glitch affecting 737 Max landing; FAA reviewing fix.

Boeing identified a software glitch last month in some 737 Max aircraft that could impact certain landing procedures, particularly after a missed approach. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently assessing the issue and reviewing Boeing's proposed software update to fix it. U.S. airlines operating the Max 8 and Max 9 models reported their fleets are not affected by the glitch, and pilots are trained to land manually if needed. The issue raises questions about the newer Max 7 and Max 10 models, which have the updated software, as Boeing seeks FAA certification for these variants amid ongoing scrutiny following past safety concerns with the 737 Max family.

Boeing's recent software glitch news comes as its shares on Pluang trade at USD 198.07, up 0.65% as of Sep 27, 2026 03:51 WIB. Despite the concerns, Boeing's market cap stands at $156.55 billion, with all Pluang orders currently buying. Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines, which operate 737 Max aircraft, are also seeing positive moves, with Southwest up 2.72% at USD 42.68 and United up 2.52% at USD 113.99 on Pluang at the same time.
