Apple has submitted a new proposal for commissions on purchases made through external links in iOS apps, suggesting a 15% fee for standard apps and reduced rates for small developers and special programs. Small businesses would pay 5%, while participants in Apple's Video, News, and Mini Apps Partner Programs would pay 10%. Subscription renewals would also be charged at 10%. This move comes amid Apple's ongoing legal battle with Epic Games over App Store commission policies, after the Supreme Court rejected Apple's request to delay lower court proceedings. Apple argues these fees help cover the costs of maintaining the App Store and compares its rates to Google Play's, which are similar.
