Can I cancel an OCO (Take Profit/Stop Loss) order before either leg triggers?

Yes, you can cancel an OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) order before either its Take Profit or Stop Loss leg triggers. Until one side fires, an OCO order is just a linked pair of pending exit orders sitting on top of your open US Stock position — nothing has executed yet, so there's nothing stopping you from cancelling the whole pair while it's still waiting. Keep in mind that cancelling an OCO order isn't instant: like every order type on Pluang's US Stocks product (Limit, Stop, Stop-Limit, and OCO alike), your cancellation request is forwarded to Alpaca Securities for processing rather than applied in real time. Pluang's official guidance is that cancellation will be completed before the next regular market session opens — Alpaca hasn't published a more specific processing window, so there isn't a faster ETA to give you. Your order will keep showing as "Open" in Transaction History with a greyed-out Cancel button while the request is being processed — that's expected, not a sign something is stuck.

What happens to the other leg when you cancel: An OCO pair is one linked order, not two independent ones — cancelling either side cancels the whole pair. You can't cancel just your Stop Loss and leave your Take Profit running (or vice versa); cancelling one leg removes both, and your shares simply return to being an open position with no active Take Profit or Stop Loss attached. If you want exit protection again afterward, you'll need to place a fresh Take Profit, Stop Loss, or new OCO pair.

Why cancellation takes time: OCO orders are set up via the Take Profit/Stop Loss fields on a US Stock buy order, and they're routed the same way every other Pluang US Stocks order is — through PT PG Berjangka to Alpaca Securities LLC, the SEC/FINRA-regulated broker that actually holds and executes your position. A cancellation request has to travel that same path before it's confirmed, which is why it isn't instant. This applies whether the OCO sits on a fresh order or one that's been open for a while — OCO/Exit Strategy is only available during Regular market hours in the first place (not on 24-Hour Market), so timing questions around session windows don't add any extra wrinkle here.

What you'll see while it's pending: Your order stays visible with status "Open" in Transaction History, and the Cancel button becomes greyed out and unclickable once you've submitted the request — a cancellation can only be submitted once per order, so there's no need (and no way) to tap Cancel again while it's processing.

Related questions:

Q: What happens to my open position after I cancel an OCO order?
Your shares stay exactly where they are — cancelling an OCO order only removes the Take Profit/Stop Loss pair, it never touches the stock you already own. Once the cancellation is confirmed, your position simply goes back to having no active exit orders attached. You can place a fresh Take Profit, Stop Loss, or a new OCO pair on the same position at any time afterward, following the same 30-calendar-day validity and 0.1-share minimum rules as before.

Q: Can I cancel just one side of my OCO order and keep the other running?
No — since Take Profit and Stop Loss are submitted together as a single OCO pair, they can only be cancelled together, not separately. Cancelling either leg removes both, leaving your position with no active exit order at all rather than one still running. If you only want one side active going forward, cancel the pair first, then place a single new Take Profit or Stop Loss order on its own.

Q: How long does it take for my OCO cancellation to be processed?
Pluang forwards your cancellation request to Alpaca Securities, the same broker that processes every other order type, so it isn't instant. The official line is that it will be completed before the next regular market session opens — there's currently no more specific processing time published. If you need to place a different order urgently, wait for the cancellation to confirm rather than assuming it's already gone through.

Q: Why does my OCO order still show "Open" with a greyed-out Cancel button after I tap Cancel?
That's expected, not a bug. Once you submit a cancellation request, Pluang disables the Cancel button so you can't submit a duplicate request while the first one is still being processed by Alpaca Securities. The order stays labeled "Open" in Transaction History until the cancellation is confirmed — it updates automatically once processing completes, with nothing else needed from you.
