What Is an IPO, and How Does US e-IPO Work on Pluang?

An IPO (Initial Public Offering) is the first time a private company sells shares to the public and becomes listed on a stock exchange. US e-IPO is a Pluang feature that lets you apply for shares in upcoming US company IPOs before they start trading, so you can potentially get shares at the IPO price instead of waiting to buy at the market price after listing.

  • Eligibility: You need to have completed Global & Yield Asset Verification (the same KYC tier that unlocks US Stocks & ETFs and US Stock Options on Pluang) and have USD Cash in your wallet. There's no extra paperwork and no separate IPO account to open.
  • Where to find it: US e-IPO appears under the US Stocks tab on the e-IPO page, and via Explore (US tab) → e-IPO section — this section only shows when there's an ongoing or upcoming IPO.
  • How it works at a glance: You submit a dollar amount you want to invest (not a number of shares) as a Conditional Offer to Buy (COB). If your order is allocated, whole shares are credited to your US Stocks portfolio on listing day.
  • Not the same as Indonesian Stocks e-IPO: Pluang also has a separate e-IPO feature for Indonesian stock listings, which works differently — it's lot-based and funded through your RDN, not your USD Cash wallet. Always check which market an IPO is for before ordering.

Q: What's the difference between US e-IPO and Indonesian Stocks e-IPO on Pluang?

Q: Do I need to complete any extra paperwork to place an IPO order?
No — beyond having a KYC-verified US Stocks account and funded USD Cash, no additional forms are required to submit an order.
