How Does Pluang Pocket Work?

Pluang Pocket works through three connected parts: investing, monitoring, and management. You start by investing using funds already in your Pluang account, either as a one-time lump-sum purchase or through Auto Invest, which invests a set amount into your chosen Pocket on a schedule you set. Once you've invested, you move into monitoring: you track your Pocket's investment performance and dividends inside the "Investments" or Portfolio section, evaluate how each underlying asset in the basket is doing, and see the combined result through the Total Returns metric. Finally, management gives you full control over your investment at any point — you can sell any individual asset out of the Pocket, edit or pause an Auto Invest schedule, or add more funds to your Pocket via top-up to grow your position further. These three parts work together as an ongoing cycle rather than a one-time transaction, so a Pocket you invest in today keeps giving you tools to monitor and adjust it going forward.

  1. Investing — Fund your Pocket using your Pluang account balance, either with a single one-time lump-sum purchase or by setting up Auto Invest for scheduled, ongoing investing.
  2. Monitoring — Review your Pocket's performance and dividends in the Portfolio → Pocket tab; drill into the detail of each underlying asset to see how it's contributing to the whole basket.
  3. Management — Sell any asset inside the Pocket whenever you choose, edit or pause an Auto Invest schedule, and top up your Pocket with additional funds at any time.

Related questions:

Q: Do I need to invest a lump sum to use Pocket?
No — a lump-sum purchase is only one option. You can also invest through Auto Invest, which contributes a set amount to your Pocket on a schedule you choose, so you don't need to invest everything at once.

Q: Where do I monitor my Pocket's performance?
Pocket performance is tracked in the Portfolio (Investments) section under the Pocket tab, where a Total Returns metric summarizes how your basket is doing, already factoring in dividends and corporate actions.

Q: Can I sell just one asset out of a Pocket instead of the whole basket?
Yes, the management part of Pocket gives you the flexibility to sell any individual asset within the Pocket without needing to liquidate the entire basket at once.

Q: Can I add more money to a Pocket after my first investment?
Yes, you can add funds to an existing Pocket at any time, either as another lump-sum top-up or by keeping an Auto Invest schedule active.
