What is Pluang Pocket?

Pluang Pocket is a modern investment feature on Pluang that helps you build a diversified portfolio at low cost over the long term by investing in a curated "basket" of assets in a single transaction. Each Pocket groups together multiple Crypto or US Stock assets that share a similar investment strategy, idea, or theme — instead of researching and buying each asset one by one, you invest in the whole basket at once. Pluang Pocket comes in two forms: pre-built Pockets, which are curated and weighted by Pluang and discoverable through the Explore tab, and self-built Pockets ("Pocket Slots"), where you choose your own assets and weighting. Both forms give you full ownership of the underlying assets, meaning dividends and corporate actions still flow to you, and you can buy or sell at any time without a lock-in period.

  • Basket investing, one click. A single Pocket purchase can spread your funds across multiple assets instantly, instead of placing separate orders for each one.
  • Two ways to use it. Pre-built Pockets are ready-made and themed (e.g. Tech Giants, Dividend Enablers, or Hello California); self-built Pocket Slots let you assemble your own basket from scratch.
  • Two asset classes only, for now. Pluang Pocket currently covers Crypto and US Stocks — see the related question below for the full list of what's included.
  • No separate custody. Assets bought through a Pocket are still real, individually-owned holdings of the underlying Crypto or US Stock asset.

Related questions:

Q: What's the difference between a Pocket and buying an asset directly?
Buying an asset directly means placing one order for one asset. A Pocket bundles several related assets into a single purchase, based on a shared theme or strategy, so you get instant diversification instead of building it manually trade by trade. You still fully own each underlying asset either way.

Q: Is Pluang Pocket the same as a mutual fund?
No. A Pocket is a basket of individually-owned Crypto or US Stock assets that you select or that Pluang curates, not a pooled fund managed by a third party. You retain direct ownership of every underlying asset in a Pocket, including any dividends or corporate action benefits.

Q: Can I see what's inside a Pocket before investing?
Yes. Every Pocket, whether pre-built or self-built, shows you the underlying assets and their weighting before you invest, so you know exactly what you're buying into.

Q: Do I need experience to use Pluang Pocket?
No prior experience is required. Pre-built Pockets are designed to be simple to follow since Pluang handles the asset selection and weighting; self-built Pocket Slots give more control for users who want to customize their own basket.
