Does Pluang Pocket Automatically Rebalance My Investments?

No, Pluang Pocket does not have an auto-rebalancing feature. A Pocket's asset weighting is set once, at the time it's created — by Pluang for a pre-built Pocket, or by you for a self-built Pocket — and it does not automatically adjust afterward as prices move. This is a deliberate product choice: unlike some other basket-investing products that periodically re-allocate a portfolio's holdings to keep it aligned with a target strategy, Pluang Pocket keeps the weighting fixed at whatever it was when you invested, and any change to that mix has to come from an action you take yourself, not from the platform running a background rebalancing process. If you're comparing Pluang Pocket to other basket or thematic-portfolio products, this "no auto-rebalancing" behavior is one of the concrete mechanical differences to be aware of before you invest.

  • Weighting is locked in at creation. For a pre-built Pocket, Pluang sets the allocation across its up to 30 assets when the Pocket is published to Explore. For a self-built Pocket, you set the allocation yourself (or use a default) when you create it with up to 30 assets.
  • No periodic re-allocation. As individual asset prices move over time, your Pocket's actual weighting will naturally drift away from its original allocation — Pluang does not step in to buy or sell holdings to bring it back in line.
  • No approval prompts or rebalancing notifications. Since there's no automatic process running, you won't see a rebalancing suggestion or a one-click approval request inside the app.
  • Manual management is on you. If you want to change how your Pocket is weighted after the fact, use Pocket's existing sell tools to adjust your position over time.

Related questions:

Q: Why doesn't Pluang Pocket rebalance automatically?
This reflects how Pluang has designed Pocket today, as a deliberate design choice rather than a missing feature — Pocket's weighting is fixed at creation for both pre-built and self-built Pockets. Check the app or Pluang's official announcements for any future changes to this behavior.

Q: If my Pocket's weighting drifts a lot over time, what can I do about it?
Since there's no automatic rebalancing, your main levers are the tools Pocket already gives you: sell one specific overweighted holding using the Sell Individual Stocks option, or add more investment to underweighted assets via top-up. Neither of these is a true one-click rebalance — they're manual adjustments using existing sell and add-investment features.

Q: Does the lack of auto-rebalancing apply to both pre-built and self-built Pockets?
Yes. Whether Pluang set the weighting (pre-built) or you set it yourself (self-built), neither type of Pocket adjusts its allocation automatically afterward — the "fixed at creation" rule applies equally to both.

Q: Is Pluang planning to add auto-rebalancing to Pocket in the future?
This reflects how Pluang has designed Pocket today — check the app or Pluang's official announcements for any future changes to this behavior, rather than assuming a specific timeline for a new feature.
