What Does the "Trading Paused" Label Mean?

The "Trading Paused" label means that both buying and selling for that coin are temporarily suspended, and the coin cannot be traded until Pluang issues further notice. It is the broadest of the trading-pause labels: where "Buy Paused" freezes only purchases and "Sell Paused" freezes only sales, "Trading Paused" stops both sides at once. A pause is usually triggered by a technical issue affecting the asset, important news, or a specific Pluang policy decision, and it is temporary by design — meant to be lifted once the underlying reason is resolved, not a permanent removal of the coin.

Good to know:

  • It suspends both sides at once — unlike "Buy Paused" or "Sell Paused", which each affect only one direction.
  • Common triggers: a technical issue, important news, or a specific Pluang policy decision.
  • Your holdings stay put — the coin and your balance remain visible in your portfolio; only new orders are blocked.
  • It is meant to be temporary — a hold designed to be lifted, not a removal like "Delisted" or "Rug Pulled".
  • Reopening has no fixed clock — trading resumes once Pluang lifts the pause.
  • Where to follow updates: the coin's label detail view and your in-app notifications.

Related questions:

Q: Can I buy or sell a coin labeled "Trading Paused"?
No — both buying and selling are suspended until further notice. Unlike "Buy Paused" or "Sell Paused", both sides are frozen. Your existing holdings stay in your portfolio; only new trades are blocked.

Q: What's the difference between "Trading Paused" and "Non-Tradeable"?
"Trading Paused" is a temporary suspension on a normally tradeable coin, meant to be lifted. "Non-Tradeable" applies to airdropped or deposited coins that were never supported for trading in the first place.

Q: Will I be notified when trading resumes?
Watch the coin's label detail view and your in-app notifications, where Pluang surfaces status changes. There is no fixed timeline — the label updates once the pause is lifted.

Q: Does "Trading Paused" affect coins I already hold?
Your holdings stay fully visible and are not sold or removed. The label only blocks new buy and sell transactions while active.

Q: Is "Trading Paused" the same as a coin being delisted?
No — a pause is a temporary hold meant to be lifted, while delisting is the removal of a coin and follows its own process, including a cut-off for selling or transferring out.
