Can my AI agent place a Market order on Indonesian stocks?
No. For Indonesian stocks, Pluang Agentic Trading is limit-only — your AI agent can place buy and sell Limit orders, in lots, with Day or Session validity, and nothing else. Market order for Indonesian stocks is available in the Pluang app and on web trading, but you have to place it there yourself rather than through an agent. This makes Indonesian stocks the exception in the agent's line-up: for US Stocks the agent can place market, limit, stop and stop-limit orders, and for Crypto it can place market orders too. Only Indonesian stocks are restricted to Limit.
Order types your AI agent can use, by asset class:
| Asset class | What the agent can place |
|---|---|
| Indonesian Stocks | Limit only — in lots, with Day or Session validity |
| US Stocks | Market, Limit, Stop, Stop-Limit — sized by shares or dollar amount, with optional Stop Loss / Take Profit |
| Crypto (spot) | Market — plus limit, stop and stop-limit on Pro-enabled coins |
Where each Indonesian stock order type can be placed:
| Pluang app | Web trading | AI agent | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Limit — Day | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Limit — Session | ✓ Yes | ✗ No | ✓ Yes |
| Market | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes | ✗ No |
What this means in practice:
- If you ask your agent to "buy at market" on an Indonesian stock, it cannot do it — give it a price, or place the Market order yourself in the Pluang app or on Pluang Web Trading
- The agent also cannot modify an open order on any asset class: price, quantity and validity cannot be changed, so cancelling and re-placing is the only route
- The agent can cancel an open, unfilled Indonesian stock order, but only from within the same conversation that placed it
- Stop Loss and Take Profit do exist for Indonesian stocks in the Pluang app, but the agent cannot set them — nor can the web platform
Related questions:
Q: Why can my agent place a market order on US Stocks but not Indonesian stocks?
Because the two asset classes trade on different exchanges under different rules, and Pluang builds each product's order types separately. The agent's US Stocks coverage includes market, limit, stop and stop-limit; its Indonesian Stocks coverage is limit-only. Never assume an order type you have used on one Pluang asset class is available on another — always check the asset class first.
Q: Can I ask my agent to place the order on Pluang Web Trading instead?
No. The agent connects to your Pluang account through one channel with its own capabilities; it does not drive the web platform on your behalf. If you want a Market order on an Indonesian stock, place it yourself in the Pluang app or on Pluang Web Trading in a browser. It is the same account and the same RDN, so nothing extra is needed.
Q: What validity does my agent use on an Indonesian stock order?
Day or Session — both of which the Pluang app also offers. Web trading is narrower, offering end-of-day validity only. The agent cannot use GTC validity on Indonesian stocks even though the Pluang app offers it, so no agent order carries over to a future trading day; an unfilled order expires when its validity ends.
Q: Does the agent pay different fees on an Indonesian stock order?
No. Fees are identical whichever channel places the order — 0.15% all-in on a buy and 0.25% all-in on a sell, inclusive of taxes and third-party fees. The minimum is 1 lot, which equals 100 shares, for the agent exactly as for manual trading.
