Why does the Upside % on an Expert Signal keep changing?
Upside % is a live number — it uses the current real-time market price in its calculation. Target Price stays fixed (set by the research team), but the gap between the current live price and Target Price moves every second as the market moves. Pluang recomputes Upside % continuously from the live price feed, so the percentage on the card updates while you're looking at it.
What's live vs static on the card:
- Current Price — live, streaming from Pluang's market data
- Target Price — static, set by the research team
- Upside % — live, computed from the gap between the two
In practice:
- If the market price rises toward Target, Upside % shrinks
- If the market price falls away from Target, Upside % grows
- Closing and reopening the app may show a different Upside % because the live price has moved
Related questions:
Q: Does Upside % include fees or taxes?
No. Upside % shows raw potential price appreciation toward Target Price only. It does not subtract trading fees, levies, or tax that may apply on sell.
Q: Why doesn't Upside % match what I calculated by hand?
Because the live price moved between when you looked at the card and when you calculated. The number on the card uses the latest streamed price.
