What does the Conviction tag on an Expert Signal mean?

The Conviction tag is a label that the Pluang research team attaches to each Expert Signal to communicate how confident they are in the pick. Examples include "High Conviction" and "Smart Money Entry (Buy)". The tag is a quick way to read the team's strength of view at a glance — it does not change any of the price or horizon data on the card.

Reading common tags:

  • "High Conviction" — strong confidence in the thesis, typically backed by a deeper research note
  • "Smart Money Entry (Buy)" — tactical entry the team believes is well-timed
  • Other tags — short labels naming a thesis or theme; meaning is in the narrative

The tag does not modify Entry, Target, Upside %, or Horizon — those are independent fields.

Related questions:

Q: Does a higher Conviction tag mean lower risk?
No. Conviction is the research team's confidence — not a risk rating. All Expert Signals carry investment risk regardless of conviction level.

Q: Is the Conviction tag the same as Analyst Ratings?
No. Analyst Ratings is a third-party broker consensus for US Stocks. The Conviction tag is Pluang's own research team's label on each Expert Signal.
