What happens when an Expert Signal hits its Target Price or Stop Loss?

When an Expert Signal reaches its Target Price (TP Hit) or Stop Loss (SL Hit), Pluang's system auto-removes the signal from the Smart Picks listing. The signal also disappears when the research team archives it manually (for example, when the thesis is no longer valid). Removals happen on next page reload. Existing positions you opened from the signal are not affected — they stay in your portfolio.

Three ways an Expert Signal can be removed:

  • TP Hit — automatic, when the live price reaches the Target Price
  • SL Hit — automatic, when the live price reaches the Stop Loss level
  • Manual archive — by the research team, when the thesis is no longer valid

Removing a signal does not close or modify any open position you have. You manage exits yourself.

Q: Do I lose my position if the signal is removed?
No. Removing a signal from Smart Picks does not affect any open position in your portfolio. Your trade is independent of the signal listing.

Q: What if I had Take Profit set at the Target Price — does Pluang execute it for me?
Only if you set the TP yourself on your order. The Expert Signal listing is separate from your order; TP/SL on your order execute based on your order settings.
